The place, facilities, quality of food, staff. All were fantastic. Special shout out for deepram, the manager and Narinder, the attendant for their hospitality, smiling demeanor and attitude. Definitely worth coming back again and again.

Mahasu House is like a piece of heaven come down in Mashobra. We travelled in the end of December 2024 and were delighted to find the property covered in snow which made it look even more beautiful. The staff and owner were very kind and helpful even arranging a pickup for us from the last 200 meters where the snow was thicker while guests of other hotels nearby had to walk down.
The rooms were very tastefully decorated and spacious and it felt like a home away from home. The living and dining rooms were something you’d see in a postcard. There are heaters in every room and the beds are nice and comfortable.
The staff was extremely polite and generous and we did not hear the word ‘No’ during our stay. Every request we had, from bonfires to food for our dog, were fulfilled with a smile. The food was delicious and we couldn’t eat enough. The loveliest part was the way staff would check on the next meal menu and ask for any special requests and their hospitality was unparalleled. They also helped us booking cabs to visit nearby attractions.
We also met the owner again and his lovely wife on Christmas and they were kind, helpful and so friendly. Their welcoming personalities are reflected in their property as well and we will always remember our time spent here.

We had the most wonderful time for the three nights we were at Mahasu house and every future hotel we stay at will be compared unfavourably to Mahasu House.

Those who are looking for relaxing destination then this is the place. Breakfast was good and staff was flexible to prepare the food as per our choice and request.

The property is made up of dreams!! It is everything you imagine a hilly retreat to be. Most importantly for me, it welcome my pet dog with open arms. After the painful and tedious drive amidst insane traffic up to Shimla, this destination in Mashobra is a sight for sore eyes. The property is isolated from all the chaos of Shimla, nestled in between dense woods. It is quiet, secluded and gorgeous. So quiet that you can hear a breeze rustling through the leaves of the trees around. The food was made to order and is the kind of food that our mothers make when special guests come over. The breakfast was served on an open deck with a view fit for Instagram. They even served dinner to in the Gazebo outdoor. We were upgraded to the Suite room. It had large French windows and a balcony with a spectacular view of the hills. Recommend sipping coffee on the balcony while watching the sun set behind the hill. Also, full marks to the team managing the plants and flowers. The entire property features beautifully manicured lawns, plants and flowers - like a children's story book. Speaking of books, our room featured an open cupboard filled with books - perfect companions for a lazy hill stay. The property, itself, preserves the look, touch and feel of why the English fell in love with these hills. You could spend an entire day discovering the property's secrets. The staff here will make your stay even more memorable. They are supportive, kind and always smiling. They have an attention to detail and are always looking for ways to make the stay even more comfortable.

The property is located outside the bustling center of the day. The property overlooks the entire valley. The mahasu house has sufficient parking just outside the property. The staff is very courteous and attends to all of your requirements. The food is customised to your request ( if possible). The staff also makes your stay special with events like camp fire and live barbeque.

Breakfast was exceptional and catered to our taste and liking. We were asked for our preference a day before, and the food exceeded our expectations.

Well made and maintained property. Mostly English countryside decor. Different nooks and corners to sit and enjoy different views and ambience.
