The staff are wonderful and beyond, great customer service, as soon as you you entre they will help . 😀 very warm welcome. The hotel it's nice location.
The breakfast was average, the the swiming pool was closed .for mantanice.
Batheroom shower head not as strong and water was out on floor , no shower door, batheroom bit small as well .
Workman working at 7am in the morning below your window on a Saturday morning is ridiculous. Also getting charged for items we did not take from the mini bar was annoying
Near the beach
Didn’t give me the right room
The renovation looks very nice but the rooms have only been refurbished not completely redone as the outside hallway noise has not been improved.
Couldn’t get a table at breakfast.
Had an issue with other guests running up and down the hall, and constantly opening and closing their doors which shouldn’t be a problem but is way too loud.
Book a double room with view, quite deceiving as the the view is of Coogee residents roofs
Check-in was very slow especially after travelling with two young kids.
The room was clean and bright/sunny, the staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. The room amenities were great. Access to Wylies with no pool was good.
The double beds were too small for two people. We specifically booked for a swimming pool so to have the pool closed was not ideal and to only be told about this once we asked and post the refundable date. However wylies was good. The delay in receiving our bond back is not ideal. The family rooms are too small for a family.
Stayed in accessible Room 4‑17. There are three important bathroom requirements that need to be addressed:
Install additional hooks positioned away from the shower area.
Add a pull‑down grab rail on the right‑hand side between the shower area.
Provide non‑slip shower mats for safety.
The temperature in both the room and the Shutters Restaurant was uncomfortably cold.
Beautiful hotel. Very new.
The swimming pool was still being built which we hadnt realised.
Good location and view.
Surprised by the lack of a pool, and mediocre finish given its only recent opening.
Fab location
Beautifully decorated and finished
In an accessible room - needs more shelves in bedroom and showroom as nowhere to put anything. In shower room need to lower mirror to meet tiles above basin as couldn’t see anything other than top of my head as height of main mirror not set for an accessible user in a wheelchair. Then there were no mirrors in the main room - not that I’m vain or anything…!
the help from staff with towels and being very accommodating. They were excellent.

Beds were so comfortable and black out blinds were perfect. Great location.
Room was tiny, when we booked I called hotel and asked if the room was big enough to comfortable accomodate a family of four needing a cot, I was told it would. When we arrived, first of all we waited 45 minutes to check in, this was at 8pm with a screaming baby and sleepy toddler. There wasn’t a massive line just one person in front who was unhappy with their stay but only one person at reception. When we finally got up to our room, my husband had to go back downstairs and get our bags as they still weren’t in our room and he needed formula and nappies for bedtime.
The room had no room for cases to be opened, nowhere for anything to be put, the shelves for shoes in the room were too narrow to fit any shoe on, the bathroom was narrow and difficult to navigate.
The cot was placed directly at the bottom of one of the beds right under the tv, this meant there was no way to walk around the room at all, and if we had left it there our baby would have been able to pull the tv down on top of himself or climb out onto the bed. A cot needs some space around it, this is why I had called to check.
We had to move the beds around slightly to adjust cot position. When we did this, I noticed ed our toddler eating fries he had found on the floor and our baby holding two metal bottle caps, trash from previous guests.
When I mentioned this to reception I was met with a blank face and zero apology for lack of cleanliness in the room.
We paid a fortune for the hotel, it was supposed to be a nice few days away it just felt cramped, which was disappointing after calling to confirm, difficult to navigate, service was slow and kind of dismissive and we didn’t really feel the way we feel when we stay at other intercontinental hotels.
Freshly renovated in a modern beach style. Great views over Coogee Beach. Very friendly staff and excellent check in.
