Nice family that owns the property but the rooms need some work. I will not stay there again.
Pros:

The restaurant at the property was convient be Leakey does not have much in the town.

Cons:

Only one working outlet in my room, flat pillows, broken down bed, no coffee and a huge crack under the door for rodents to come in. I will not be staying here again.

Location was ok,

Cons:

We did not like the idea of a bar being next door and the bar patrons took up the hotels parking space so when we came back to the hotel for the night, we could not find a space in the parking lot. and the drunk patrons going back to there cars and the people talking loud waking us up.

Cons:

Did not get a room even though I was charged for it. I was told No reservation available. The person I spoke with said they didnt do 1 day and that it should not have booked online. She said someone would come and help in about 5 min. They never showed. When I called back about 30 minutes later she said it was booked for the wrong day anyways and she couldn't do anything about. Worst experience ever. We had to drive 40 miles for a room.

Great location to meet up with family and friends at Garner State Park each day. Staff/ownership was great! Lovely family. Normally off site but they respond quickly.

Great location for floating the rivers. We were here with a family group, half of us camping at Garner, half here at the motel. Really easy to go back and forth.

The place is extremely clean. The only thing I would recommend is that you make sure to understand that the place labeled casita does not have its own individual porch. I was looking forward to sitting on my own individual porch but my room was next to the office and was connected to the strip of other rooms sharing one long porch. The room itself was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I was just looking forward to something different and was a little disappointed but again it was my fault for not asking enough questions.

We will absolutely stay here again when we return to the area.
Pros:

Staff was easy going & super friendly! We absolutely loved the fact that The Back Porch Grill was on sight. The motel was in walking distance to two liquor stores & we enjoyed a short drive to The Quince in Camp Wood & the Twisted Sisters scenic road.

Cons:

I honestly can't think of anything!
