Fijn verblijf, wel kanttekeningen
Pros:

Personeel zo aardig en attent en gezellig.
Ontbijt lekker met uitsluitend verse producten. Met zorg bereide rösti, gebakken eieren, vers fruitsap naar keuze, Bali -koffie!
Ruime villa, fijn bed. Heerlijk zwembad.

Cons:

Het was niet héél schoon binnen, stoffig, gekko-poepjes op de bar.

Bij aankomst losse wc-bril, en douchen met koud water omdat de gastank leeg was.

Koelkast té koud: kwam er op tijd achter, anders was mijn medicatie bevroren geweest en dan had ik veel gedoe gehad.

Jammer dat je zelfs voor het drinkwater moest betalen. Kost nauwelijks iets, maar voelt niet gastvrij. (In veel accommodaties op Bali is dagelijks vers drinkwater inbegrepen).

Locatie: pal naast een soort feesttent waar tot half vier 's nachts karaoke was :-(

Beautiful and relaxing stay at Villa Lumbalumba
Pros:

The villa was well maintained, beautiful and relaxing. The staff were lovely and helpful. I loved being with Lupi the cat 🐈
Breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

The outdoor area of the room wasn't very private but it wasn't an issue, but worth noting.
The location is about 25 minutes walk to the centre of Lovina which was fine but it makes it slightly difficult when you don't ride a scooter. Staff were super helpful and offered rides in and out for cheap so it was okay but worth knowing and preparing for. If you ride a scooter, you won't have this issue.

This place definitely deserves a 10. The room is well designed, especially in how the amenities are arranged — everything feels practical and comfortable. It’s a great spot to relax while staying close to the ocean. Overall, the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful.

The reception staff are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast and kitchen staff were a bit less warm, but nothing that crossed into real discomfort.

The balcony is a big highlight — it’s spacious and has enough seating for a small group. It transforms the stay from simply a place to sleep into a space where you can truly spend quality time: relaxing, recharging, or even enjoying a dinner with local seafood or fruit ordered via delivery apps like Grab.

Overall, it’s a very suitable place for chilling for half a day — or even a full day — especially if you need deep passive recovery.

The pool is small but deep enough to actually swim a little, not just decorative.

There is also a shared kitchen with utensils, a blender, and a refrigerator. The room itself has a small fridge as well, although we turned it off because of the noise.

Cons:

The entrance door does not fit tightly and tends to open by itself. This caused constant inconvenience because cool air from the AC would escape, and we often had to lock the door with a key just to keep it closed. This is a small issue but has a noticeable impact on comfort and should be fixed.

The air conditioner is not very quiet — moderate noise level — so guests with sensitive hearing may want to bring earplugs.

One service detail stood out: during the stay, almost every time we left or returned, staff would greet us warmly and open the door. However, when we checked out, we received no attention at all. This may have been coincidence, but it felt like a missed opportunity. The final impression is the last note of the overall experience, and a warm farewell would significantly improve the service quality.

Un séjour très agréable
Pros:

La villa est vraiment splendide, l’intérieur est superbe, et très propre. Le jardin avec la piscine est magnifique et très bien entretenu . Nous avons passé un moment inoubliable avec un personnel aux petits soins pour nous

Pros:

Reservamos el alojamiento buscando un sitio con buena relación calidad - precio y superó nuestras expectativas. La habitación amplia y limpia, así como el baño. La mujer que trabaja en el alojamiento (Putu) es encantadora y siempre con una sonrisa. La piscina del jardín es súper relajante. Además, la habitación tiene una terraza donde es muy agradable tomarse un café o una cerveza. El desayuno lo preparan cada mañana con mucho cariño y productos locales. Es un sitio totalmente recomendable.

Cons:

Por ponerle una pequeña pega, las toallas y la ropa de cama que facilitan están un poco desgastadas, pero nada importante.

Pleasant stay with tasty breakfast, just out of town.
Pros:

Clean rooms and delicious breakfast each day. Same breakfast of fresh smoothies, bacon/ham, eggs, bread, hashbrown and nice home made jams - but all good quality items. Location about 1km from the town but tricky to walk at night so better for grab car or scooter (easy to get). Staff are friendly.

Cons:

Upstairs bed is a bit older and up a very narrow home-made staircase so not ideal for small kids. But easy to move the mattress down as the space downstairs is large.
