It was the ideal place in Malham, and the staff were great
There was nothing really
Cosy friendly and welcoming
Car parking was limited
Great location and place
Perfectly suited our needs for a 2 night breakaway.
Spacious, warm, comfortable room.
Friendly staff.
The seats in the bar area weren't very comfortable.
The location was ideal, we had a room in the barn which was very comfortable, a suite really with lounge area, large bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and it was great to have a bath separate to the shower. The parking at the barn was very good.
Although it wasn’t a problem I was asked to chose one extra large bed or two singles, I chose two singles but on arrival an extra large bed had been made up.
The restaurant that evening was very busy and we didn’t think the food was very good, it wasn’t bad but not as good as hoped for. The staff in the restaurant were very hassled, but did a good job.
Such a classic friendly pub. Great food, very dog friendly and nice rooms. The location is fantastic.
We stay in the barn, which probably wasn't necessary. The communal space, though nice, wasn't worth the extra money. Next time we will book a standard room.
The rooms was delightful, clean and comfortable
The food was not as good as we had previously experienced and we were very disappointed
Gorgeous food and modern rooms , comfy bed
Nothing
It appeared a lovely pub nice cosy setting
We arrived after a 3hr drive with a 3 month old baby to be told they had been a power cut. These things can't be helped of course but this was a long journey for us with our baby & to be told this at 3pm we decided to check out as we needed water etc for milk and heat. We ended up staying somewhere else. The pub seemed nice and cosy. Hopefully in the future we may pop by for a pint but dont think we would opt to stay again.
Great breakfast, excellent location, staff very knowledgeable about local walks etc. Very comfortable room. Great atmosphere in the pub for lunch after a long walk, the best steak sandwich!
The location , the service and the excellent selection of real ale . Comfortable bed and excellent shower but I did prefer it when it was “ real “ country pub under the previous private owners rather than part of a brewery chain . I suspect it will be very busy during the summer and not as a consequence quite so relaxed
The dinner menus don’t change albeit specials do provide the opportunity for off the menu if one is staying for a few nights. Too many dogs in the bar . While I appreciate it is dog friendly I consider dog owners take advantage. Not everybody wants dogs around them .
This is a little gem of a place - comfortable bed, spacious rooms, incredibly dog friendly, the best roast we’ve ever had, an unreal breakfast spread and a staff team that couldn’t do any more to make you feel welcome. Really impressive. A must stay.
Everything was 10/10.

Fantastic location. A tastefully decorated and welcoming bar/restaurant area with real fires. Friendly and attentive staff. Dog friendly. Good range of food and drinks. Breakfast was great! Comfortable, clean rooms.
It’s slight pricier than our usual hotel stays but, given all the positives, well worth it.
