Elephant Passage is one of the most pristine and majestic resorts seen on our trip through India! Staying there turned out to be a real stroke of luck. Special thanks go to the friendly and professional Santusha on reception who worked hard to make the stay enjoyable and who attended to our every need! The room was spacious and luxurious with is own balcony and outdoor seating area. Exceptional, healthy and freshly-prepared food and drink provided throughout the stay. Plenty of activities and events on every day. Touring the grounds was charming. The views from the poolside of the valleys below were breathtaking and the resort proved the perfect springboard into the luscious and exquisite Munnar area. Be sure to see the elephants!
It couldn't have been better!
The food at the restaurant was always fresh and delicious. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend staying here. It is soo peaceful!
The only complaint is that at night the property is not well light. We have diminished eyesight, so having a flashlight in the room would be soo helpful.
Nothing
Worst experience ever. I had a confirmed booking and started a 7-hour journey to reach the hotel. While I was already on the way, they suddenly cancelled my reservation claiming it was their mistake. This is completely unacceptable.
There was no prior notice, no apology, and absolutely no responsibility taken from their side. I reached the destination and was forced to travel back another 7 hours because of their error. This caused me extreme stress, exhaustion, and put me in a very embarrassing situation.
Despite this being entirely their fault, they did not offer any alternative accommodation, did not try to help in any way, and completely ignored my requests for assistance.
Even worse, I still have not received my refund. At the time, I didn’t even have enough money and had to borrow just to book another hotel. This is unacceptable behavior.
Very unprofessional, careless, and disrespectful treatment of guests. I strongly do not recommend this hotel to anyone.
staff approach at reception was not good
good breakfast.very helpful chef called Biju and frontoffice too, named Reshma.Grat valets who handle your car requirements promptly.house keeping is excellent and the surrounds are beautiful, with great views.Well away from the hustle and bustle of the town, which has become pretty bad.
Be aware that your car is parked away from entrance lobby and it takes a few minutes for the valet to get it.this is because the property is on a hill side and parking is not easy. Nonetheless, the valets do a really good job,so certainly not a sticking point
The room and grounds were beautiful
Was not easy to have someone answer phone to start and the jacuzzi room had a bad odor with water leaving a lot to desire
Facilities and the rooms
Location bit far and steep up.
Perched in the mountain top, yet camouflaged from a distance, it offered us both sunrise and sunset — the first, worshipped during the complimentary yoga sessions led by Suresh; the latter, gazed from the infinity pool with the mountain in the horizon. It is a quiet place with wonderful staff, eager to make our journey pleasant.
It is a family hotel and kids tend to be noisy and loud. Perhaps setting a time for no kids in the pool to have some quiet in such a beautiful setting?
There are some signs of fatigue in some details of the infrastructure that will need some love and attention very soon.
The Place is AWESOME .Its on Hill Top very beautiful constructed specially the surrounding which has a pathway for a small Trek surrounding the property ,which gives a feel of the jungle and exictment .As ther are no walls on the pathway and we can see a deep valley.Mornig walk is recommended.
Food Tastes is nit up to the Mark.Need to include local taste.
The location was unique and immaculate! We enjoyed the swimming pool and the room was spacious.
The restaurant was poorly managed and the hotel being on a cliff, we had nowhere else to go.
The jacuzzi was not cleaned and hence we couldn’t use it.
For a 5 Star property, the overall experience was disappointing.
Spectacular views, spectacular pool, impeccably maintained.
Perhaps the Elephant Passage is a victim of its own success, because the number of guests at breakfast was overwhelming…Would suggest food be replenished more frequently, so that those that don’t arrive super early can still get cut fruit, yogurt, etc. Omelettes were a good idea!
