Perfect location for our visit
Main road
Urig, typisch englischer "Pub", leckeres Abendessen, nettes Personal. Bequeme Betten.
Bereits etwas abgewohnt, eine Renovierung der Zimmer ist angeraten.

Food as the pub left something to be desired.
Breakfast very good but no choice of an alternative good contiinental breakfast.
Room was well appointed. Two arm sitting chairs a great asset. Decor throughout the pub/ hotel very pleasent.
Carvery meat rather dried out by the time we came to eat at 7.00. Menu limited too much biased towards burgers. No desserts offering fresh fruits.
The room and the bathroom were spacious and modern. Having the pub attached was convenient for food and drink. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the linen well laundered. The weather was hot whilst we were staying. However, the room remained relatively cool, and a fan was provided. Plenty of car parking.
The big disadvantage was connection. Both I and my friend had no mobile signal. I guess this area is something of a black spot. This wouldn’t have been a particular problem had the Wi-Fi functioned. Although it was possible to apparently log onto the Wi-Fi network, it didn’t function. Even in the pub area it appeared to be highly inconsistent. It is not always convenient to go into a public area in order to send a message. Maybe other phone networks have better reception, but if this is a general black spot then it should be a high priority to provide working Wi-Fi for guests.
Plenty of parking, checking in was easy, staff very welcoming, room clean and tidy and a pleasant place to be, bathroom looked brand new, beds comfortable, check out simple and quick.
Bathroom bin had underwear in it, shower cubicle badly designed as water went all over the floor, the carvery was a little dry and tired, no coleslaw with one of the meals and someone forgot our deserts, it was little things that whilst not major would have been easy to get right. Good breakfast but very limited options not as described in brochure.
The beds are good, the size of the room and bathroom is ok. We liked the restaurant and the bar, too.
the bathroom was clean but worn. the shower pipe was cracked. there is no air conditioning, but the staff provided us with a fan upon request. the cleaning could have been better, but the bed was clean.
We were very pleasantly surprised, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The upgrade was good and has brightened up the place.
1. I was in room 2 the lock does not lock from the inside. Whilst it never bothered me it might-some one else.
2. The new WiFi works great in the bar area but was useless in room 2. The upgrade is actually worse.

We like the location as it was relatively close on where we needed to be.
It was also good value for money, and they added bonus of having a restaurant attached. The Staff at check-in and and in the restaurant were very good.
Like the big screen TV in the bedroom, the beds were super comfy and the shower one of the very best I’ve had in a hotel.
Sleep quality was poor due to the continual banging of doors.
The bedroom doors slam shut it’s such force that it makes a hell of a racket!!!
