Unclean property, very basic, poor service but it’s affordable and typical VERY basic pub accommodation
Pros:

The property is what it is advertised as being, pub accommodation and cheap. It’s in a good enough location that you can get to things within 15-20 mins

Beds are reasonably comfortable

Cons:

The cleanliness of the property is clearly unchecked and not supervised. Kitchen crockery and cutlery with left over food from previous stays stuck to it. Our toddler found a used condom under the lounge, mould inside dishwasher and property didn’t at all smell clean and had a very sewage smell to it upon entry.

Water pressure in the shower is almost nonexistent and makes a shower very difficult

The entire apartment has been done very cheaply and is very basic.

The pub is a total missed opportunity and very basic, food didn’t sound appealing and wasn’t really worth a visit

Customer service for the motel side was non existent with no reply to messages and not at all welcoming, quite a weird process.

Excellent!
Pros:

We stayed here on our friends' suggestion, whom we also met for dinner. The room was fantastic, with a comfy bed, a wardrobe, a big TV, bedside tables, tea and coffee, and a small patio.
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

Cons:

A bit of noise from the busy road next to the hotel.
And, the toilet roll holder is quite a stretch to reach when you're sitting on the toilet, not well thought out.

Clean, Comfortable Stay with Great Amenties
Pros:

We had a very pleasant stay at the Risdon Brook Hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed for our trip. We especially appreciated having a washing machine and dryer in the room — such a convenient bonus that made our stay even easier.

Check‑in was also simple, with the keys easily accessible on arrival. Overall, a smooth and comfortable experience.

Cons:

During our stay, we were woken around 12:12 am by a loud argument from the neighbouring room. The dispute continued outside for approximately 30 minutes, which did disrupt our sleep.

Hidden gem
Pros:

Such a clean spacious stay, so much room for a family of 5. The beds were huge and comfortable. Loved that it had a washing machine and dryer. The private alfresco was great. Great value for money.

Cons:

The road next to it was a bit loud.
