The games made available were enjoyable, the AC was on before we arrived so the room was cool. The honesty bar is a plus and there was a common kitchen, a large fridge with much stuff left over by former customers. Also the price is worth it.
The matress was average, there was a hollow in the middle of it. The walls are very thin so you can hear people coming back late.
Comfortable room. Working kitchen. Nice open shared area. Quite easy to get parking. Great value.
Ottima posizione. Buona l'idea di condivisione.Pulito
Great place, good location. Rooms were very nice.
There wasn't anything to dislike.
SUPER
Wszystko bylo ok
Coalshed had everything we need - came to attend a gig so we needed a place to stay afterwards
The room was a haven from the heat with excellent air conditioning
Very modern fixtures and fittings, very comfortable beds with crisp white bedding, modern coffee making facilities , complimentarty drink, excellent power shower, divine smelling shower gel/ siap/ shampoo/ conditioner, well stocked honesty bar and well equiped communal kitchen. The fact that the owners saw a gap in the market to convert an old garage into such a purposeful accomodation makes it more attractive,
Large airy communal area ideal for larger groups with pool table, table tennis and other games provided
This didn’t matter to us (because we arrived by public transport) but there was not many ( if any) car parking areas.
The outside of the building didn’t reflect the quality of the accomodation
Very cool and quirky. Room was spotlessly clean, excellent facilities. The communal areas are perfect
I booked it for my sons and they fully appreciated all of the amenities and the ease of checking in.
No human contact.
V Clean, comfy, good location
Cooling/heating system too complicated
Nothing.
Extremely disappointing experience.
The entire purpose of booking overnight accommodation is to get a decent night's sleep. Unfortunately, that was impossible due to an exceptionally loud air conditioning unit in the room which continued throughout the night.
At around 4am, after being unable to sleep, I reported the issue through Booking.com. The property has since acknowledged the disturbance, apologised for it, and even offered compensation, so there is no dispute that the problem existed.
What is disappointing is how the matter was handled afterwards. Rather than accepting responsibility for a room that was not fit for its primary purpose, the focus shifted to suggesting that I should have called an emergency number in the middle of the night and that, because the room was technically occupied, a refund was not appropriate.
The argument seems to be that because they didn't know about the fault beforehand, they shouldn't be responsible for the impact it had. As a paying guest, that's not really my concern. I paid for a room where I could sleep and that simply wasn't what I received.
Despite accepting there was a problem, the property refused to provide a fair resolution and instead made small goodwill offers while continuing to argue that the stay itself was satisfactory.
Judge for yourself, but if a room prevents you from sleeping and the business still refuses to properly put things right, that says a lot about how customer complaints are handled.
Very disappointing.
Didn’t have the second bed made up nor bedding that I could see, so used towels and jacket!
The accommodation was exactly what we needed. Good access for bus routes and a few cafes/restaurants nearby as well as the community farm. Very trendy area although a bit rough and ready. We loved having breakfast provided as we'd arrived late with nothing so it was such a relief to have some cereal to keep us going. In general the accommodation is really well thought out.
We were in the accessible bedroom which was great except that the toilet was very tall for our toddler to use so a step would be amazing if you know a young family is in there. More coat hooks would be great too.
The stay promised two beds but one of them was not made. I messaged the coal shed immediately and they told me I would have to make it myself for a fee of £8. Note, this only included a thin sheet and not a duvet, so my brother was freezing at night. I’d like to request a full refund for my stay as it was totally misleading.
Everything, great place to stay whilst on tour!
We booked at the last minute as we were going to a gig and decided to stay 2 nights. We accessed via a code and the accommodation was clean with everything you needed in terms of crockery, glasses, fridge etc in your room as well as a shared kitchen area. With the bonus of an honesty bar/snack station and the games, pool and table tennis.
It's in a vibrant area with lots of nice local breakfast and coffee spots as well as being only a short walk into the city centre. We would definitely stay again.
Nothing
We loved the whole vibe. Family friendly. Independent. Cool.
The main space was great and our room was superb. The showers are a dream.
All easy to access, clean, and tidy. Our hosts communication was great too.
A perfect place to stay to explore the art side of Bristol.
Our room was hot - though we were there during a heatwave. There was air con though so all good.
