The meal was the highlight.
Pros:

The meal was first class - very nice starter, wonderful mains and puds..
Staff very friendly - Mike especially helpful with wine.

Cons:

Room - no plug in sinks. No enough space around/above sinks. Had not realised fold-up table in cupboard for breakfast.

Lovely stay, food lets it down a bit
Pros:

Loved location, great shower. Bar staff super friendly, good drinks.

Cons:

Food very over seasoned and over blown. Simple flavours win every time. Don’t overcompensate with salt.

Decent enough for a one-night stay
Pros:

Nice country pub with lovely restaurant. Room was decent size and comfortable. No breakfast as such but nice touch with the limited options left in the room.

Cons:

Lighting wasn't great for shaving - bathroom had two sets of lights including one on timer which wasn't that helpful. Roman blind broken but we fixed it. They are a challenge to many.

pleasant pub if you don't mind possible disturbance from those drinking/eating outside
Pros:

pleasant man who runs it and good dinner

Cons:

i asked for a quiet room but was given a room overlooking the front, where people come and go. It was a quiet evening being a Tuesday, so I was not disturbed but feel that I would have been if people had sat outside my window and if it had been busy, for sure I would have been disturbed. But the man in charge of the pub was very kind. I think their blurb ought to say that rooms are all on first floor and overlook places where pub goers hang out. That would be more honest....

Disappointing
Pros:

Nice setting, Nice room. Friendly bar man. Pretty good food.

Cons:

The do-it-yourself breakfast in the room without so much as a seat to sit on is poor. The place is not staffed at all in the morning so you have a snack in your room and see yourself out. That isn't what I expected at the price even although it was hinted at, I expected, at least, a continental buffet with a table and chair.
