My 2nd time staying here. Excellent value for money and a lovely room
Even with a 2 inch foam topper sleeping in a linked mattress was either in a trough or on the ridge.
So much else was good, an uncomfortable sleep was disappointing

Management very obliging as a last minute booking.
Very clean, secure, parking right outside, quiet, near to travel routes. Very handy bistro onsite and offer of breakfast hamper available if wished to purchase.
Nice shower, body wash provided.

Apart from hairdryer did not work which left me looking a shock for the rest of our stay in Wales.
Great location for visiting Cardiff. Lovely pub and food associated with the accommodation. Exceptionally helpful staff helped us with booking issues.

Had 3 breakfasts. My suggestion would be a pro forma to select breakfast and a central box to put it in as there was difficulty finding staff in the morning.
Breakfast choice could have some fruit as an option, or being able to have breakfast in the pub instead of in the room but I can see why you do it.

The rooms are very nicely done to a very good standard, very clean and comfortable and excellent value for money. I will definitely stay there again next time I need to be anywhere close to Cardiff. Breakfast was provided in a little wicker basket the evening before, so while it was not a freshly cooked breakfast (which is perfectly clear when making the booking), there were sufficient options for an adequate breakfast which you eat in your own room (porridge pot, pastries, fruit juices,etc). The pub was lovely too, it was just a pity I had a huge lunch before driving to Cardiff that I could not sample the food (which looked really good) next to the log fires. Next time I won't make that mistake again :-)
Staff were so attentive on arrival, showed us to our room- great service. Room was perfect, such a comfortable bed we had to sneak a look at the make of matress so we can buy one for at home!
The room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean.
The price for this room was excellent.
That we only stayed 1 night! We would definitely book here again and next time use the restaurant as it looked amazing.
