Self-Check-in hat bestens funktioniert.

Bamberg erleben und mitten im Altstadtzentrum schlafen
Pros:

Sehr gut erreichbar, Lage mitten in der Altstadt, guter Service durch Kaffeeautomat im Empfangsbereich, ausreichend Parkplätze in der Tiefgarage.

Cons:

Zimmertür ließ sich nicht öffnen mit dem 4stelligem Zahlencode. Erst durch Anruf bekam ich unkompliziert Hilfe: es fehlte in der Email der einmalige 8 stellige Zahlencode. Danach klappte es!
In der Dusche wäre eine Ablage für Seife bzw.Duschgel empfehlenswert.

Unterkunft in Top-Lage jedoch ohne irgend einen Service
Pros:

"Hotel" am Dom in Bamberg ist in einer außergewöhnlich guten Lage. Es liegt zwischen Dom sowie Neuer Residenz und einer belebten Gaststättenstraße. Die Zimmer sind neu renoviert, außer das Bad war schon etwas älter. Im Eingangsbereich konnte man sich rund um die Uhr von der Kaffeemaschine Kaffespezialitäten holen.

Cons:

Die 2 Tage unseres Aufenthaltes haben wir nur kurz Reinigungskräfte gesehen. Es war weder eine Rezeption noch einAufenthaltsraum vorhanden. Die Eingangstüre war den ganzen Tag offen und für jedermann zugänglich. Außerdem musste man pro Tsg 25 Euro für mini Parkplatz/Garage bezahlen.

Für ein Hotel dieser Preisklasse (200 Euro DZ/Nacht), erwarte ich eine besetzte Rezeption, täglichen Zimmerservice ohne dass der Kunde danach fragen muss, ein Frühstück, eine Tiefgarage, in die man auch hineinfahren kann, ohne Gefahr zu laufen sich das Auto zu ruinieren, einen Preis für diese Tiefgarage, der nicht bei 25 Euro pro Nacht liegt, Personal, das die ganzen übervollen, improvisierten Aschenbecher rund um den Eingang auch mal leer macht und dort für Ordnung sorgt und ein Zimmer, in dem das Bad nicht 30 Jahre alt ist. Für 120 Euro die Nacht wäre das alles so akzeptabel. Für 200 nicht.
