Great location, friendly staff.
Very dated room, which really needs a makeover.
The room was on the 3rd floor with no elevator. It was small. There was a TV, but you had to hook up your own phone or computer to use it. There was no hairdryer. It did have a little quaintness to it and a good breakfast.
The fact that you had to have a wireless device to watch TV and having to carry luggage up 3 floors.
La ubicación y el personal muy atento
La habitación daba a la calle y había mucho ruido exterior
We enjoyed being within walking distance of many excellent restaurants and shops. Also it was not far to drive to thermal hot springs and tourist places (coffee/chocolate tours, jungle hikes, etc.). We liked that! The breakfast was good, it was definitely typical Costa Rican breakfast food. I would have liked some plain toasted bread though.
Your staff was EXCELENTE! They were all very friendly and helpful, that was great.
It was not a great value, by US standards. We could do better for something that cost $135/night per room. Our room was fine in terms of sleeping, but for our friends who stayed next door (Room 24, I think), it was not. They heard loud partying noises coming from the breakfast area until 3 AM. It was raining heavily that night, and they heard rainfall landing on the air conditioning units and metal roofs all night long. They did not sleep well.
Super friendly stuff, great location and very good breakfast!
Good location in the town with a view of the volcano
The pictures make it look brighter and more cheerful than the reality. I was told breakfast was a buffet but it was served from behind a counter with 1 old toaster with sliced white bread between everyone and an empty coffee urn
I changed my stay from 3 nights to 2 before I got there, but was still charged for 3 and not refunded for 10 days after a big debate (on Christmas day!) to get my money back.
Also, 1 day there was no hot water and had to have a cold shower. The bedspread obviously wasn't washed and smelled fusty.
It felt like a backpackers hostel with private rooms instead of a hotel
