Confort Arenal

If i could give confort Arenal 1000 out of ten i would. Staff was the friendliest and their treatment of guests is very personal. The breakfast was delicious. There were so many plants and facilities are well kept. You felt in an nature oasis. Already planning our next visit with the whole family. The rooms are so spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was gorgeous with a perfect view of the volcanoe. Felt like home! Thank you Geysel and all staff for the amazing service and stay.

We were so grateful because the front desk staff was responsive with our request when we had late check-in after 9pm. The bedroom was ok but a bit outdated in our opinion, but it’s very close to some good restaurants in the area.

Best location, best view to volcano. Nice garden with hanging bridges, a lot of animals and fruits trees, flowers. Best for the cost. I will back there again.

Highly recommend!!! The staff is nice, they allowed us to check out late and always smiled and helped us with attractions in the area and anything we asked. The hotel itself is really clean, stunning and the value for money is huge. The location is great with a beautiful view and a pool overlooking a volcano. The room was also luxurious. In short, if you are in La Fortuna, come there at least for the night!!!

Despite a mixup of pictures and room descriptions the manager of the hotel honored the reservation. We were able to sort this out so others would not have the problem. The view is outstanding and the staff really wants your visit to be enjoyable.

What a treat! Especially if you're traveling with dogs! No hassles for the dogs, plenty of green space for them to run around. Comfortable, spacious room. We had a fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds and a delicious, full breakfast. Staff super friendly. Beautiful new pool and incredible views of Arenal volcano. Not luxurious, but highly recommend.

it was very clean property i loved it the interior inside the room and outside it was very clean and professional staff, room, bathrooms was very clean bed sheet, bed was comfortable, property is very beautiful and clean, from room balcony amazing view, breakfast was amezing tasty rice and beans as i am vegetarian had good choice of breakfast staff was very friendly, pool was clean and beautifully decorated. will go there again. very close to places.

Property is amazingly beautiful and near everything!

My stay at Hotel Confort Arenal was wonderful. When reaching out to the hotel to inform them of our arrival time, they responded quickly and were flexible with our planned arrival time for check in. When we arrived, we were greeted by Hazel, who is so friendly and kind. She checked us in, answered every question we had, and handed us the key to our room. The Room was clean, comfortable, and I loved that we had a kitchen with a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and stove. This allowed us to take food back to our rooms after our trips around La Fortuna.

Breakfasts at the hotel were light and very nice. We had eggs, toast, rice and beans, sausage, fresh fruit, and tea or coffee. Hazel was around to serve breakfast and offered to pick up any fruit we'd like for breakfast during her runs to the fruit stand. One of my friends in the group was sick for a day and Hazel kindly packed up a breakfast for us to take back to the room for him.

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. If you look carefully you might see some beautiful frogs, insects, birds, etc. during your stay. There is an incredible view of Volcán Arenal from the hotel/rooms, and the pool is very nice!

It is important to note that this hotel is slightly easier to navigate if you have your own car -- each room has its own parking spot, and rooms are spread apart. However, we did not have our own car and had no trouble walking between our room and reception/breakfast area. There is a slightly longer road for you to drive your car to your room, but there is a shortcut with a cool little hanging bridge over a stream for you to walk over. When we arrived, Hazel offered to have a staff member take our luggage to our room via car so we didn't have to walk it over the hanging bridge. So kind! We had rides arranged to pick us up at the hotel for all of our tours in the area, so we didn't worry about not having a rental car at the hotel. There are a few small convenience stores and delicious restaurants in short walking distance down the road from the hotel, so we walked a little if we needed a meal or snack. This gave us some extra opportunities to explore. Hazel also has a personal contact for someone who can take you to La Fortuna as an affordable option. He only charges $10 to La Fortuna and $10 back but be aware that he only speaks Spanish and doesn't generally work past 7 p.m.! He was very kind though. I speak Spanish so had no trouble.

Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Confort Arenal. Do not expect this to be a fancy hotel. However, it is affordable, rooms are clean with good A/C, the views are good, breakfast is tasty, and Hazel is so kind and accommodating. Spanish is the primary language spoken at the hotel and by staff, but you shouldn't have any trouble having your needs met if you don't speak Spanish. Hopefully I can stay here again one day!

The grounds were beautiful, we loved the pool and the view of the volcano. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was helpful and knd. We enjoyed the breakfast.

The people managing this property are very nice, eager to help. Breakfast was good,served hot at your table. It had fresh fruits, toasted bread with jam, gallo pinto, fried plantain and a slice of tomatoes. Sometimes there was Avacado and cheese too. I saw scrambled eggs too. Not sure if any other non vegetarian items were there. Hotel has pool with beautiful views of volcano and also a small hanging bridge.
But the room we stayed in (villa) had issues.
When we checked in, I noticed water on the kitchen counter and a pot next to it with some water in it. I didn’t paid attention and cleaned the water and put the pot away and instead out my stuff there. And left for dinner. Later when we came back, I realized that Kitchen roof was leaking a bit that side and there was water all over my stuff. Luckily everything was in ziplock so no loss. But a heads up at check in Or a note would have been nice. Kitchen and bathroom were decent size so I would not have used that space if I knew. Stove in kitchen looked ancient so I didn’t even attempt to use it. There was blender and microwave and full size fridge that we used. Another issue was that bathroom has no hooks, not even to hang your hand towel. Room has only one power outlet that I could see. So mostly we used outlets in kitchen to charge phones. there was no place to hang towels to dry so you have to call them to get replacements. No iron or hairdryer in the room. location of the hotel is very good but rooms need updating.
