The location of the hotel and surroundings were beautiful. Be aware it is predominantly a conference centre open during the week and I am sure for that the facilities are excellent. The cleanliness of the room and hotel were excellent. The limited food available (which we were made aware of before our stay) was excellent. Breakfast was freshly cooked and excellent. As the hotel was so quiet over the weekend, the Chef was the only one in the restaurant and he was very kind and attentive. The barman on the evening of our stay was pleasant and as helpful as can be.
The staffing over the weekend is minimal with nobody in authority available to sort out any issues. There was a fault on the fire alarm bleeping loudly in the building where we were staying. We were very disappointed that we had not been assigned a garden view room as requested (and confirmed) instead we were on an upper floor with a view only of a concrete balcony. The 2 staff on site did not have authority to change us to another room. They showed us one other but this was an accessible room which was not suitable because we couldn't get in the shower for positioning of the chair. We were advised to speak to reception in the morning, but this was pointless as we were only booked for the one night. Security did come out to turn the alarm off after we'd reported it.

The un air conditioned room was unbearable during most of the hours particularly nights of course. The small fan was useless but the location, bar etc were excellent.
Lovely grounds and spacious bedroom
Nothing
Very helpful staff. Very clean room
Mattress was very soft and well used. I arrived at night and walking in the dark the signposts to reception and my room from car park D was very poor. I had to ask a random person for directions. Also reception admitted that people get lost when arriving at night time.
Beatiful location in green area, very nice room and facilities, friendly reception. Excellent breakfast and internet.
The location is remote and not connected by public transport, shuttle buses from campus during working days.
The wifi is hard to log in to and comes and goes.
