Comfortable bed and clean room
Breakfast choice
The shower was coming loose from the wall, and there was peeling paint on the ceiling of the bathroom but these are minor items
Good location, friendly staff, nice comfortable clean room, and lovely food
Nothing
The rooms were good. Very clean. There was a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Very friendly staff. The position is very convenient for visiting the local area.
The lack of soap was an irritant. It was solved on our second day, but should not have happened.
Lovely staff, comfy bed, great location and value for money.
Clean, comfortable room, excellent breakfast and friendly service, all at a very reasonable price. We’d happily stay again on our next trip north.
We have stayed before at The Red Lion so knew what to expect. We booked the family room for the extra space. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was exceptionally good and the young woman who seved us ( possibly manager that day) was really lovely.
Tge television wasn't working in the room which was very annoying. We didn't ask for it to be fixed as they were very busy on the Friday night with a party apart from usual Friday night trade.
Everything was lovely just we were told the wrong time for breakfast so was up earlier than needed.
Nothing
The staff greeted us like old friends, offered any help if we needed any. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean. The location was great, a short walk to the nearby village and Leeds/Liverpool canal and beautiful countryside. We went for a break from our busy lives and this stay gave us time to chill out. Fantastic stay and we will definitely be back.
Nothing
Convenient parking. Comfortable room by heart of the Inn. Friendly, helpful staff
Soap dispenser in shower/ bath was empty
Always a good stay
Everything is good
Breakfast very good value
Nothing not to like
Good little location. Breakfast was great, staff very nice and room was very clean and tidy. The only drawback was the room was fairly noisy at night from above and from the road due to old windows. Also rads and heating system made plenty of noise but didn't even heat up, so I didn't sleep too great. But overall very good and I can't complain for the value.
As above
