Great location for family holiday but disappointed with apartment standard.

The booking should make it clear that this is a private host apartment and not managed by the Zimbali hotel which comes with limitations like no house keeping during one's stay.
The room was not clean to hotel standards.
There was dust.
There was hair all over the apartment.
We were only given one room key for 2 adults which was inconvenient.
The room only had a cooling system and no heating system. Even though it's December in KZN I was cold for most of the time when I was inside the apartment it was damp and uncomfortable

Pros:

The estate is very upmarket and it's lovely

Cons:

The room is privately owned within the hotel. It is not cleaned every day, and you need to pay for extra cleaning. The shower was filthy and not worth the price.

The owner was good and welcoming.

Cons:

Cleaning for ourselves. We were not aware is private and we must clean. Holiday is for resting and confort.
