Wochenende in Malente
Pros:

Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen und von den Gastgebern mit einem tollen Frühstück verwöhnt.
Eine 5-Seenfahrt, ein Ausflug in den nahegelegenen Wildpark, eine Zugfahrt nach Eutin und Abendessen in Malente sorgten für einen schönen Kurzurlaub zu zweit.

Historisches Hotel mit entsprechendem Charakter und ausreichendem Komfort sowie guter Lage
Pros:

Historisches Gebäude von 1906 (z.T. eng und verwinkelt), Zimmer recht groß,aber Badezimmer eher eng, Bett bequem,
sauber, ruhig, Frühstück gut in schöner Veranda, Personal freundlich, Lage sehr gut zu Bahnhof und See

Badezimmer leider etwas eng, Vorhänge im Zimmer dunkeln nicht genug ab

Herrliche Villa in toller Lage
Pros:

Super Lage: zur einen Seite See und Bahnhof, zur anderen Seite die Hauptgeschäftsstraße. Trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die Villa selbst hat viel Charm.

Pros:

Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig und praktisch eingerichtet. Schön ist, wenn morgens das Licht durch die Bäume vor dem Haus in das Zimmer fällt. Die Familie Delvendahl ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Aufenthalt war sehr unkompliziert und persönlich.

Cons:

Das Treppenhaus mit alten Holzstiegen ist schön, aber auch eine Herausforderung, wenn man Lärm vermeiden möchte. Leider nehmen nicht alle Gäste nachts Rücksicht und "poltern" recht laut über die Stufen.
Schön wäre auch, wenn es einen Wasserkocher oben im Zimmer gäbe und nicht nur unten in der Küche.

Pros:

Die Hoteliers sind unglaublich nett und wir hatten den ein oder anderen netten Plausch. Die Zimmer sind etwas altmodisch, aber sehr sauber und die Betten bequem. Die ganze Villa hat einfach Charme. Ab Betreten des Eingangsbereichs ist man in einer anderen Welt. Nostalgie pur...
Wir fühlten uns wohl und kommen gerne wieder.

Cons:

Der Duschvorhang...
Das Frühstück könnte etwas vielfältiger für den Preis sein. Wir mußten zb nach Brötchen fragen weil nur noch Brot da lag.
Der Kaffee war aber lecker, wurde frisch gekocht, ebenso das Ei.

Charming villa in the Heart of Malente
Pros:

The owner is very kind and welcoming. He knows a lot about the area and is happy to help. The hotel is an old charming villa and is located right along the main road within walking distance from bakery and shops.
The info center is just down the road as well as the train station.
Hot water is fantastic and the rooms are very decent sized and comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing, all was good.

Pros:

Beautifully presented old style hotel in the most beautiful spot in Germany.
Our hosts were so welcoming, helpful and friendly.
I can't wait to have friends experience what we did. AAA+++

Cons:

Only minor things such as perhaps a small bar fridge and kettle to make coffee in our room... would have been pleasant.

Good location for visiting the 'Holstein Switzerland'
Pros:

Villa im Steinbusch is an old established hotel and the physical facilities are what one would expect. The room was an excellent size with a balcony. Everything very clean. The hotel itself had considerable character.
The breakfast was excellent. It was mainly 'continental' (with a good range of high quality foods available) but a soft boil;ed egg was also offered (and was good!)
Our host was outstanding. Spoke fluent English and had a wealth of information on sights to see not only in the Malente area but also at our next stop (Hamburg).
The location is a very short walk from the train station, main street - and the lake (and ferries).

Cons:

The physical facilities in the room were not the most modern - but they worked! Plenty of hot water in the shower.
We both found the beds rather hard and uncomfortable.
