Proximity to the airport. However, it's certainly not walkable and the taxi fare is north of £25 despite being only a 5-10 minute ride. Receptionist was very helpful. The building itself and grounds are attractive.
No air conditioning. Just my luck to stay during a heatwave; only got 3 hours sleep! No chair in the room; you have to sit on the bed, so writing notes and using a laptop is problematic. Also, there's no room safe.
Clean tidy friendly
The room was very comfortable. We both slept very well despite being very close to Gatwick airport.
Breakfast was excellent.
We will stay there again.

The room was clean. The bed was nicely done and very comfortable. However, I expected more from the hotel based on the reviews.
No air conditioning, only a fan. The hotel could improve by maintaining the common areas better (looked unkempt), providing friendlier service and offering takeaway breakfast for guests with early flights. Although the location is convenient, it's not within walking distance of the airport, so taxi costs add up.
Very lovely location, nice garden to eat and relax. A bit far from everything but it is fine for a day before travelling. Staff helpful and food breakfast.

A bit noisy with all the aircraft, but hey it’s close to Gatwick and I mean really close! But with the double glazed windows closed and great sound insulation you could hardly hear anything
