Beautiful property
Pros:

Beautiful property set on terraces in a cove with gorgeous ocean views. Very lovely staff and great restaurant. Lovely bedroom with a great hot shower. Really fantastic breakfast.

Cons:

We loved everything! But we felt the our ‘space’ was on the small side and everything was quite highly priced.

peaceful, beautifully designed place with great food, kind staff, and stunning views — I would happily return.
Pros:

Beautiful views and a strong connection to nature, especially from the rooms with large windows. The eco-style design is simple and calming. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the food was excellent — very good breakfast and an interesting, creative restaurant. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.

Cons:

Nothing — everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Stunning accommodation, views and wonderful staff.
Pros:

We stayed at Socalco in August. Everything about our stay was fantastic. Staff were very helpful and so friendly. Location was perfect, up in the hills overlooking Calheta. The views from the terrace while eating breakfast/dinner are stunning and the food is exceptional. Everything is made fresh and as I am a vegetarian it was a real treat to have amazing dishes made by the wonderful chefs. Views from the various places of accommodation (we stayed in a few during our weeks stay) were beautiful. Socalco is very unique. A very memorable stay.

Cons:

The only issue is the very steep hills when parking your car but this is Madeira and everywhere is built on a hillside.

It feels like home, very cozy and you don’t even want to leave
Pros:

Everything about the hotel is wonderful! The location, the view, the staff, the rooms, as well as the excellent restaurant that uses only local products in its cooking.

Cons:

Daily housekeeping could be more thorough, but overall there were no negative impressions.

The pictures do not do this hotel justice. It is a really lovely set up with lots of extra touches down by the team. Excellent food with the menu all produced and grown locally on site. Amazing views and comfortable room

Cons:

All was brilliant. Lots of steps up and down though!

Das Hotel hat eine traumhafte Lage, in einen Weinberg integriert mit herrlichem Meerblick. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, das Frühstück ist phantastisch und das Abendessen sehr gut.

Cons:

Das Abendessen ist zwar wirklich sehr gut, doch die Preise - insbesondere für den Wein - sind doch recht hoch.

Cons:

Все было почти идеально, но к сожалению у соседей рядом непрерывно работал кондиционер, внешний блок от которого находился на нашем крыльце и он шумит. Он буквально не выключался все 2 суток, что мы там оставались. Днем это не проблема, но ночью это мешает.
