Restaurant area very tired
For a spa hotel, gym equipment was very old with several items broken or not working.
Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were all broken Nd out if order.
It was close to what we needed

It’s convenient when I visit for business meetings and friends
I wanted to cancel the breakfast and was told by booking.com that it had been arranged , however when I got to the hotel I was told by an Abrupt receptionist that they had received no notice and I was told to pay the full amount !
This was most embarrassing for me and made me feel very uncomfortable!

Manager Leo. Grumpy man who is very rude. Also Spa was not relaxing as had builders in drilling in all day. I booked 2 months ago and was not emailed to say builders in and making noise. Not a relaxing weekend at all
Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet bedroom - I had been concerned about how close the A31 was but there was no obvious traffic noise in the room or other areas of the hotel.
Being really picky - the bath towels were a bit on the small side.
