Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and more than sufficient to satisfy. Most traditional Scottish breakfast ingredients available.
Public areas looking a little "tired" however bedroom was very clean and comfortable.
Evening meal was fine.
The railway line about 10 feet from my room.
Friendly staff, doing their best. Breakfast is the highlight.
This hotel is badly in need of some long overdue maintenance. Wallpaper has multiple tears, stains on the shower room ceiling, a shower room door with damage simply painted over rather than repaired. And it took two attempts for staff to close a damaged hopper window - during a period of windy weather, terrible even by Glasgow standards. Exterior frontage is also extremely tired, with peeling paint and signs of more serious problems. Having to exit the hotel to re-enter the bar in atrocious weather is not great. (There is a connecting door, but for staff only.) There are no accessible electrical outlets beside the bed - inconvenient in today's world of rechargeable devices. Even in March, this seems a moderately busy place which could afford to devote a bit more TLC to the fabric of the building.
Location was excellent, very close to Burnside Railway Stn. and staff both friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent, particularly as I was under the impression that I hadn't already paid for it.
Not a particularly good selection of cereals for breakfast, but that is being niggly given the excellent cooked choices.
Not sure what the reason was but my stay seemed unusually expensive; Sat & Sun nights costing £260 ( vs £160 on other weekends). Considering the room etc £160 would be perfectly reasonable for 2 nights, £260 did seem poor value.
Room small . Breakfast lovely, lots of choice, cooked fresh.Dinner menu good and food enjoyable only
Only one seat in bedroom
Easy to get to. Nice and clean
We book as we were visiting ovo hydro c2c concert and booked at a good price. However you done get a key to get in the front door you have to ring the bell or a phone number. So we got back just after 2am Sunday morning and had to wait 45mins to get into the property if it wasnt for going around the back and banging on the window i dont know how long we would of be there.
very nice staff
having to walk out of the hotel to reach the bar. Sidings was not open as a bar or a restaurant, whilst we were there.
Its location
The walk outside to access the restaurant. (It was raining)
Helpful.
No microwave or fridge being placed in the room for long term stays. Had to ask the kitchen to use theirs, hopefully they helped
Room Clean and Comfortable
Train line right next to hotel
Clean and comfortable. Great staff, unlimited breakfast. Lovey room.
The staff at reception were very friendly and made check in easy. The hotel is close to a supermarket and cafes which is handy. Also having a private car park was great. The room was comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay. The cooked breakfast the next day was absolutely delicious!
N/A
The hotel is spotlessly clean.
Carpets evidently hoovered from corner to corner, not a speck of anything in the bathroom, no dust, no cobwebs ..super clean super happy
Hairdryer extra pillows ironing facilities all provided in the room
ALL staff were very cheerful
My only minus was I could not fully close the window (perhaps a ventilation feature) so I whacked the heating up to be toasty warm
Not a spare socket close to bed to charge phone
Easy to access from car park
Nothing
Quiet neighbourhood for a peaceful night. Easy to commute from city centre. Bus stop right in front. Long opening hours for food/drinks. Super friendly staff
Nothing. All good
