I would stay again!
Pros:

Excellent facilities with a kettle, coffee machine and juice maker. Very comfortable bed. Nice bath produce. Great location.

Cons:

I traveled alone and off-season, and I felt a bit lonely in the building without a reception. But the cleaner in the morning was very friendly. All in all the hotel served the purpose of my trip which was visiting family and stay nearby.

Für die 2 Übernachtungen war es ok aber nochmal würden wir dort nicht buchen.

Eher Pension als Hotel - 1 Nacht o.k.

Gute und zentrale Lage.
Zimmer Nr. 1 sehr ruhig mit hoher Decke und zum Innenhof gelegen.

Cons:

Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Eingang nicht sehr einladend.
Zimmer und Bad könnten eine Renovierung gebrauchen!
Wände streichen, Fugen im Bad/Dusche erneuern, zusätzliche Beleuchtung im Zimmer (viel zu dunkel!). Rollos lassen sich nicht mehr richtig hochziehen. Einrichtung primitiv. Kleiderschrank aus Metall ohne Türen, billige Kleiderbügel, Staub in und auf dem Schrank. Gründliche Reinigung von Zimmer und Bad.
Neue Kaffeemaschine z.B. Nespresso.
Kleines Frühstück zwar kostenlos, aber dann lieber woanders...
3 Schlüssel, wie wäre es mit einer zentralen Schliessanlage?
Fazit: Für eine Nacht o.k., wir werden allerdings nicht wiederkommen.

In the centre of the St Georg district. Ten minutes walk from the Hbf. Restaurants everywhere.
Pros:

Amazing building - over 200 years old, which is rare in Hamburg. Superb staff. Breakfast was not listed, but each morning a tray of bread, jams, honey and spreads was outside our door.

Cons:

We liked everything and would change nothing.

Wonderful
Pros:

Ich war nun schon zum zweiten Mal im Hotel Bel Etage und würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Für mich ist es der perfekte Ort, wenn ich in Hamburg ins Deutsche Schauspielhaus gehe – die Lage ist unschlagbar, alles ist fußläufig und unglaublich unkompliziert.

Der Check-in läuft jedes Mal völlig reibungslos, angenehm entspannt und zuverlässig. Die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sind durchweg freundlich und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen.

Die Zimmer sind schnuckelig, sehr sauber und haben richtig Charme: schöner Holzfußboden, doppelt bzw. mehrfach verglaste Fenster zur Langen Reihe – trotz zentraler Lage hört man vom Verkehr kaum etwas. Es ist alles da, was man braucht, und man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe auf Details geachtet wird.

Ein echtes Highlight ist für mich jedes Mal die Orangenpresse, die immer bereitsteht – kleine Geste, große Freude. Das Restaurant habe ich bisher noch nicht besucht, steht aber definitiv auf der Liste fürs nächste Mal.

Auch bei meinem Aufenthalt bei minus 10 Grad draußen war es drinnen wunderbar kuschelig warm, alles hat perfekt funktioniert. Die Lage nahe der Alster ist einfach großartig, zentraler geht’s kaum.

Kurz gesagt: Es hat alles wunderbar gepasst, ich kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und freue mich schon jetzt auf meinen nächsten Aufenthalt
