We received a warm welcome on arrival, staff were very friendly and informative.
Our room was basic but clean and comfy, it served our needs, it had everything we needed for our short stay.
We each had a full English for breakfast and it was lovely, and each breakfast was cooked to our individual requirements!
The location was excellent for us to travel to and from our venue.
There was nothing to dislike!
Friendly staff. Reasonable price.
Shower plug hole was blocked, room was not very clean, too noisy to sleep. My fault for not checking the location right next to a busy road. Music played late on outside speaker just under my room window. Staff did turn it off when I asked.
Friendly staff, good food in restaurant
Room was grubby, cobwebs, things damaged, dirty
The pub and restaurant are very good. Great food and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly.
Room was very basic and dated. Windows sealed shut so poor ventilation.
Friendly staff, value for money
The staff were superb really friendly, helpful & the food was excellent. They couldn’t have been more polite & helpful.
The rooms are tired, some areas upstairs were a little damp & fusty. Stairs areas
Nothing
Everything. We couldn't stay and left after 5 minutes of being shown to our room. The place and room smelled of dirt and fish. The entrance to the bar and the bottom of the steps to the rooms were filthy and smelled of dirt and damp carpet. The price certainly doesn't reflect the condition of the room and the property in general. The property needs a good and thorough clean and refurb. Outside the was run down and bits of rubbish everywhere. We were told if the bar is closed (10.30 on a Friday night) if we went out, we were told to use the fire escape. The door can be open by anyone and direct entry to the rooms. Not very secure. This property should not be advertising rooms at this price.
Staff were great area was lovely and the Inn was nice.
Breakfast was very tasty and bed was comfy. Rooms are budget and this is reflected but that's not a criticism.
The Inn is in a fantastic position, comfortably furnished and staff were very friendly and eager to help.
A later departure time would be helpful, 10am leaving is quite rushed.
Easy to find @ the entrance to Shibden Valley with ample free overnight parking. Clare(manageress) were immediately looking at my booking but also needs(single + shower) thus 'being built for comfort' & in my 'fourth childhood' (82 yrs) her assistant soon returned with the 'Anne Lister'(Gentleman Jack) double bed/en-suite room key.
Maybe the climb up a flight of stairs to my room.
breakfast very good value for money. room was great , lots of space , tv , great internet connection, bed very good, great pillows. good size wardrobe and chest of draws. bathroom great nice and very clean. with good shower.
