Located next to the river and adjacent to the bar. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and includes small wardrobe, dressing table and bed side drawers.
Friendly staff
Noisy location
We had a pleasant stay overall. The rooms and beds were clean, the hotel was very quiet, and the parking facilities were excellent.
A special thank you to Nick at the reception. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and funny throughout our stay. His positive attitude and outstanding service truly made our experience and more than made up for the small inconveniences. He is a real asset to the hotel!
The only downside was the shower. The water pressure was quite low, and the fixed shower head made it a bit inconvenient to use.
Clean and pleasant. Close to the town
Nothing
Location
Too noisy and breakfast wasn’t great
Location was great for the weekends activities- good local restaurants and bars which gave plenty of choice for families and individuals
Room and facilities were more than suitable
The breakfast time was later than advised and could have been done with being earlier. We had an activity booked to start at 9am but the advertised said 8:30 start for breakfast.
I did think this was slightly over priced for the what you got.
The location was perfect for my work trip, making everything very convenient. The room was clean and well-maintained, and breakfast was provided. Although there was no hot breakfast on the Monday morning due to my Sunday stay, a breakfast was provided in the room, which suited me just fine. If that isn’t for you, town is literally around the corner.
The breakfast options were limited, especially with no hot breakfast available in the morning. The in-room alternative was convenient but not my preference.
Location.
Close to centre of town
Couldn’t control the temperature of the room
We stayed in one of four riverside rooms that were exceptionally appointed. You could open French doors and look down to the river below. It was wonderful. The hotel is situated at the end of the high street just before the bridge over the river.
No refrigerator or fan in the room.
The staff were lovely
Having a TV that doesn't connect to the basics! It's great to have a full size kettle but seems odd if you have small cups & saucers, swap them for mugs.
Breakfast as always very good
We had the Laura Ashley room, I believe it is an accessible room (which we don’t need) however in the bathroom there is no where to hang damp towels, no storage/shelving for toiletries. We would stay there again but would request that it not be in this room
The location and the staff were very helpful
The radiator in the bath room was urgently on and the room was very hot with the sun shining into it. I did put a note in he room asking forth curtains to.be kept drawn. Which staff responded to.
