Cons:

We had to wait an hour to get toilet paper for the room after checking in, and then 3 hours for a towel to shower. The room was so hot, and stuffy, it took all night for the AC to cool it down. There was never a receptionist around or anyone to support with questions. The place felt unclean, the bedsheets smelled bad and the bed was very uncomfortable. Would not recommend.

Relaxing and BEAUTIFUL stay for our family in Bacalar - qiet and very nicely located.
Pros:

The staff - family owner - works a great deal to make his guest feel very comfortable and happy. The place is well taken care of. We truly enjoyed the little place of peace that he created inside: the tables, plants, lounging chairs... We enjoyed talking our breakfast / meals there outside.
Our room was very comfortable for the 4 of us. We stayed there 4 nights and enjoyed our time, felt very relaxing. We also we're able to park our car there no pb. Good internet. It's also very nicely located - on the only roads with good pavements to walk to the center (which is just a digestive walk away). There's also an OXXO close by to get water, and a supermarket.
Absolutely recommend for a quiet, relaxing and comfortable stay in Bacalar!
