Everything was great. The host is super nice and attentive.
Nothing negative at all. It's on the budget end so it's great value for money.
As a family, we wanted to experience the Japanese way of life—and there’s no better place than Kinosaki Knot.
I was initially skeptical about staying somewhere with shared bathrooms and toilets, as we’ve never done that on holiday before. But everything was spotless, in true Japanese fashion. The toilets and bathrooms were exceptionally clean, and the whole place reflected the country’s deep respect for cleanliness.
When we checked in, Yoshi explained the cultural importance of keeping the indoor and outdoor spaces separate. It made total sense and gave us even more appreciation for the traditions. Honestly, the saying “cleanliness is next to Godliness” could have come from Japan—they take it to another level.
Yoshi also helped us rent Yukata and the accessories we needed for the Onsens, which really added to the experience.
We had the best sleep of our entire 14-day trip at Kinosaki Knot.
After checkout, we left our luggage at reception and went exploring. When we returned, it was pouring rain. Yoshi went above and beyond—he drove us to the station, waited until we got inside, and only then said goodbye. That kind of hospitality is rare.
We’ll definitely be back in Japan—and when we return to Kinosaki Onsen, there’s no question we’ll be staying at Kinosaki Knot again.
Easy to reach location, super nice staff, spotlessly clean room, bathroom and whole space, great outfit rental (yukatas and all the remaining elements to go to onsens)
As it is a traditional place there is no bathroom in the room, but we knew it upfront
Great cozy room with tatami mats. Slept very comfortably. The location is great, close to onsens and food store right outside. Host was fantastic, very friendly and kind, and knowledgeable about the area.
We liked that this property had very clean and quiet facilities. It was a great traditional experience with a friendly staff member and everything needed. We liked that their was parking available for an additional 800 yen. Some places out in town were more expensive. There was a Lawson across the
street which was convenient. The room was comfortable and it was nice having towels to use at the Onsen.
The room was pretty bare and could have used a mirror by the sink to get ready as well as some seating. We still enjoyed our stay and the shared bathrooms and lobby area had everything needed.
