Mittelklassehotel ohne jeglichen Service
Pros:

Sensationelle Lage mit Blick über den Edersee und den Nationalpark Edersee-Kellerwald als Teil des UNESCO Weltkulturerbes. Frühstücksraum und Restaurant bieten einen wunderbaren Ausblick.

Cons:

Leider sind die Zimmer in einem abgewohnten, altmodischen, muffigen Zustand, der den Preis in keiner Weise rechtfertigt, und als bestenfalls Mittelklassehotel wird immer noch die Hundehaarallergie gefeiert. Mit Hund (zu einem Tagespreis von 28 Euro) bekommt man ein kleines, gruseliges Zimmer, in dem man sich kaum umdrehen kann, mit Blick nach hinten auf den Parkplatz. Niemand hilft mit Gepäck. Das Restaurant, das sich auch noch "Fine Dining" nennt, erreicht in gar keiner Hinsicht die Qualität einer Mensa.
Nachmittags zum Kaffee gibt es gar nichts, "das lohnt sich nur in der Saison".

Pros:

Es war alles schön. Von der Ankunft, übers Abendessen, die Sauna, das Zimmer, das Frühstück alles perfekt. Besonders möchte ich noch das sehr freundliche Personal erwähnen.

Herrliche Lage mit tollem Blick auf den Edersee! Tolles Frühstück und man kann dabei schön am Fenster sitzen und die Herrliche Aussicht genießen.

Ein originelles Hotel in hervorragender Lage und ausreichendem Service.
Pros:

Es ist gut gelungen die Zimmer mit einer vernünftigen Größe und gutem Zuschnitt in die schwierigen architektonischen Vorgaben eines so alten Gemäuers einzupassen. Bestimmte Unbequemlichkeiten und Einschränkungen in der Aussicht sind dadurch zu erklären.

Cons:

Das Personal, sowohl an der Rezeption, als auch im Restaurant war sehr freundlich, wirkte aber schon bei einfachen Fragen oft unsicher/uninformiert und reagierte tendenziell hilflos bis unprofessionell.

Pros:

Wir waren zum 2. Mal mit Hund in einen Zimmer mit Terrasse. Es war sehr behaglich und sauber.
Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es ist ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen . Das Restaurant war zwar in der Nebensaison geschlossen (im Turmblick sind Hunde nicht erlaubt). Dafür haben wir die Restaurants in Waldeck besucht und wurden auch da nicht enttäuscht.
