We found the room a little disappointing as the outside of the hotel and photos reflected more quality. Cockroach in bathroom. Reception staff helpfully booked us an excursion on the backwaters for 3000 rs which we were told was all inclusive and the use of a tuk tuk there and back was discussed. However when reaching the landing area the tuk tuk driver needed paying. This was put down to a misunderstanding by management but left us out of budget as it was an unexpected charge. The excursion itself was a bit dull and overpriced compared to backwater trips we took on Munroe island. The local beach is having lots of construction work nearby so we didn't spend much time there. Next time visiting Alleppey we would choose to stay at the backwater side of town where there are more amenities. Breakfast was ok but we had to ask for everything and didn't realise that we could have ordered a western breakfast (omelette & toast) had we not read previous guest reviews. Perhaps a menu card of what options were available would have been helpful

Superb value. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. I stupidly left items in the wardrobe when I checked out, and the team made the effort to track me down and hand them back to me. Short walk to beach, restaurants and bars.

Friendly, helpful staff. Great location for the train station and beach cafes. It was a bit far from the boat jetty but we knew that beforehand. You can get easily get a tuk tuk there.

Big, clean rooms. Lovely staff. Really appreciated they let us keep bags with them before our train.
Also a great breakfast. You could choose between toast with butter or Indian style breakfast with Parotta. Both were brilliant.
One of the best places we’ve stayed at in India. Would 100% recommend.

Crossing railway tracks to get to the beach, the rubbish in that road was disappointing but not the hotel’s responsibility, just saddened me.
After travelling around India over 5 weeks and staying in up to 15 hotels this by far was the best. Cleanest and comfortable room with big bathroom and great Shower. Toiletries were a nice touch also. Good breakfast(Indian) and great host. Thanks for a great stay wish were able to stay longer.
Bit remote but hosts gave us recommendations for a nice restaurant nearby, and beach 5 mins away but you have to cross the rail lines.
