Rainforest River Edge

L'emplacement en face de la rivière était splendide. En quelques minutes il était possible d'accéder à la Rain Forest.
Bien que parlant très peu anglais, l'hôte a été très attentif à ce que tout se passe bien.
Il a arrangé la visite de la Forêt pour moi. Il a fait appel à un guide très expérimenté qui m'a fait sentir et goûter de nombreuses plantes.
Je recommande.

The attention and care of the hosting family who cared for every need, and made any effort to make the stay comfortable, with a lot of kindness. Amazing breakfast was included. Great home cooked dinners by request, reasonably priced. Arranged knowledgeable, amazing guide for the rainforest hike, reasonably priced.
This guesthouse is located nearby to the forest edge.
That made amazing birds and wildlife be seen just from the nice garden porch or when walking the village road. However, don't expect any 'tourist scene' nearby.
That village was so peaceful.
Had great night sleep on the comfortable bed, protected effectively by net from bugs.

Rasika and Ananda are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet. They are the kindest and generous, most generous hosts. The accommodations were modest and sufficient for my needs. The price was fair for the location, and the setting was incredibly beautiful, overlooking the river that runs past the park. When the rain came, it was simply sublime to sit out on the covered porch outside in my room and watch the storm. The birdwatching from right outside the door to my room was incredible. Rasika’s cooking is great, and I highly recommend her rice and curry(for which you must give her a couple hours notice, and order in the afternoon). It was one of the best meals I had during four weeks in Sri Lanka. When I return to Sinharaja, I will definitely be staying with them again. Rasika and Ananda, thank you so much for being such a lovely hosts. I feel that I have made friends for life!

Very close to the centre. Great host and especially the staff who was always helping us. The dinner and breakfast were also very good.

Tout était parfait. Les hôtes sont fantastiques. Ils nous ont trouvé de très bons guides pour des excursions dans la forêt c'était merveilleux ! Et la nourriture excellente et copieuse

L’emplacement de l’hôtel, la gentillesse des hôtes, la vue sur la rivière, l’organisation de la balade dans la forêt de Sinharaja…
On peut aller à pied au village de Mederipitiya et à pied jusqu’à l’entrée du parc (Pitadeniya entrance)

Lovely couple run the accommodation who are very helpful. It’s very close to the rainforest and they can arrange a guide for you.

Such a great stay at Rainforest River Edge! For someone on a budget, you get a clean, comfy room with all the amenities--even a bottle of water. The space overlooks a river, and the garden is full of birds. The lovely family running it was SO attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including tasty home-cooked meals. Peaceful, budget-friendly, and surrounded by nature--highly recommend!

So kind and friendly owners, clean and comfy rooms and tasty food. Owners even arranged a guide to Sinharaja forest for us and it was also amazing. .

...the owner even give us a tuktukride to show us a beautifull spot for swimming in the river
we felt very welcome and at home

Amazing staying with amazing family. They have friend wich is a very experienced guide, so If you want to do tour in Sinharaja Forest you must stay in this place. You will not find guide as here in that location. He explained a lot about plants and animals. It was obvios that he love the nature.
