Very unhelpful staff as could only stay one night , no refund offered . Bar area tired and did not look clean
Staff were very pleasant, breakfast was excellent. Rooms were compact but comfortable
we were only originally going to stop for 1 night but decided to stop on the Sunday night as well, with the plan being to go out during the day on Sunday then go back to the Fir Tree and have a meal and a few drinks before going to bed but we were told that the place close on Sunday afternoon which was extremely disappointing. We ended up going to the local pub and doing just that. We stayed in room 8 and the bathroom mirror was obviously put up for people that are 6ft tall.
Comfortable room. Very nice friendly staff. Good food and even too much for me.
Nothing at all.
Food was excellent - breakfast and dinner. Staff generally helpful apart from issue below.
Check in procedures raised concerns. Was required to fill in a personal details form, which included full information on my bank card. Room had already been paid for in full and I was concerned that I was required to leave my bank card details on a form that could leave me vulnerable to fraudulent behaviour on my bank account. It just seemed very unnecessary given the room had already been paid for in full and left me worried as to what would happen to this form. Due to the check in procedure we won’t stay in this hotel again.
Friendly staff
Lovely rooms
Good food
Everything, cannot fault, another enjoyable stay with a lovely comfortable clean room and en suite. Lovely friendly staff who cannot do more for you.
Nothing
The steak pie was very good. Breakfast was a bit slow, not being self service for the main course
.
The room was small and cold. Fortunately the weather was mild.
Dogs were allowed in the dining area.
The breakfast was stunning and couldn’t be faulted as were the staff .
The only tiny gripe was the tv didn’t have any sound.
Staff, rooms were lovely, onside bar and restaurant
Nothing

Nothing
Dry well cooked plenty on the plate
Room smelled musty
I wasn’t able to make the check-in time because i was travelling from London. But no issue for the hotel and they made arrangements for my late arrival. Very warm welcome in the morning. Lisa is always very welcoming and kind. Fabulous breakfast hit the mark. Always a great place to stay.
