Nice enough for a one night stopover. Lovely staff.

Nice pub with motel style rooms - fine for a one night stay. Lovely staff and decent evening meal. Clean, functional room.

Cons:

No yoghurt for breakfast and coffee pretty tasteless. Bizarrely there was no wifi in the hotel at breakfast (not turned on until midday apparently) so as there is no phone signal, unable to access the internet to do emails, plan route etc over breakfast!

A good spot with everything you need for an overnight stay
Pros:

Clean and comfortable room - good blackout blind; good breakfast and evening meal; helpful and friendly staff

the room's sound proofing wasn't amazing but had considerate neighbours so not too much of an issue on this occasion

Enjoyable stay. Our 4th time we have stayed here so speaks volumes
Pros:

The food is really good and well proportioned. We had a lunch snack , evening meal and breakfast during our stay. Beds comfortable and good parking. The staff work very hard and are so friendly. Exceptional value for money

Stay here if you're looking for a stay in the Durham area
Pros:

Excellent hotel, rooms, shower, bathroom, facilities, breakfast, all are an excellent standard. Shame that we had a prior appointment so that we could have tried the evening meal as other guests stated that the food was fantastic.

Am glad that we stayed here rather than one of the typical hotel UK chains, much better to put your hard earned money into a local business serving the local community rather than a faceless corporation.

Will definitely stay here again.

Pros:

Room was very clean an well equipped, cooked breakfast was great

Cons:

Room ice cold when we arrived, we had to turn heating on.
Noise insulation poor
Entire pub closed before 10pm on saturday evening so we had to walk to another pub for nightcap.

Pros:

Well appointed. Good sized room. Bathroom on small side but clean and good shower. Good car park. Breakfast excellent. Staff are lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

Lovely hotel with a great team of staff
Pros:

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was very good with a great choice. Breakfast was also very good. The rooms were clean and warm once the heater was switched on. Hope to stay again.
