Lovely location

Lovely location, staff and exceptional food
Pros:

The location is stunning and great for access to Dalbeattie, Sandyhills and all the villages in between. The bedroom was comfortable and had all the expected facilities like tea making facilities/hairdryer etc. The food at the pub is exceptional, both evening meals and breakfast as well as the choice available. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was given a takeaway breakfast on the final day as I was leaving early.

Cons:

The bathrooms are a little dated and the water for showers could definitely be warmer and takes a while to come through.

Pros:

Arrived and took 20 minutes to find someone to check us in. The whole place apart from dinning room needs upgraded. The carpets are really dirty and cobwebs round the windows. Seems very short staffed. Food though was amazing!

Cons:

Just very disappointed. Could not get into wardrobe either as there was a bed in front of it

The facilities could have been so much better which spoiled an otherwise nice location.
Pros:

Great location but poor facilities in general but particularly in the bedroom.

Cons:

Very small bedroom with old furniture and bathroom suite. Dark and dismal corridors leading to the bedrooms that needed a coat of paint. Nowhere for quests to sit separately from diners. Poor surface will large crater leading to unmanaged car parking space. Very limited breakfast menu with no unsweetened yogurt and no fruit. No marmalade, just jam. No porridge.

Pros:

Absolutely gorgeous setting, fantastic food. The breakfast and dinners were exceptional in every way nothing was too much trouble.

Cons:

The room furniture was a little old but room very clean the furniture didn't have a negative effect on our stay as we only slept there was clean and provided everything we needed with a stunning view

Empfehlenswertes Hotel - gerne wieder!
Pros:

Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten bequem. Das Essen - Frühstück und Dinner - war hervorragend. Die Lage mit dem Blick direkt auf das Wasser war super. Man konnte zu Fuß schöne Spaziergänge zum Strand unternehmen.
Das WLAN hat super funktioniert (falls man zwischendurch z.B. mal arbeiten muss).

Cons:

Das einzige Manko waren die Duschen. Das Wasser wurde, wenn überhaupt, nur lauwarm und es war insgesamt recht wenig Wasser.

Location is superb. Many walks from the doorstep. Easy drive to many other attractions.

Great value for money
Pros:

The food was excellent, both the breakfast and the dinner at night. Lots of choice, reasonably priced and beautifully presented. The staff were excellent too, helpful, friendly and cheerful. We really enjoyed our stay.

The room not well appointed and the shower was not serviceable.No biscuits to have with tea and coffee.Bed not made on a daily basis etc.Kingsize bed would have been preferable.
