The hotel is located in the local island of Maafushi where the government regulations require that guests do not wear bikinis or similar swimwear while in public areas. However, the hotel can arrange excursions to picnic islands for guests where these restrictions are not applied.
The property can be reached by a public ferryboat or a chartered speedboat. This can be arranged by the hotel for which the payment will be collected upon check-in.
Please share your flight details and full names with the property at least 3 days before your arrival to secure your seat(s) for the transfer. Or indicate this under Special Requests when booking.
If your flight lands after 13:00, you will need to take the speedboat transfer or make arrangements to spend the night in Male.

All crew was helpfull special thanks to Anjali, Sajii, Sojib, Manik, Rithika. Hotel was so clean, thier restuarant has same prices with other but better service ofcourse. Very attractive infinity pool. lastly the location close to water sports, activities and port. If i go again i would stay here.
Maybe because of heat fruits and vegetables was not good at breakfast and their beach has stones so strongly advice bring your sea shoes with you.
I am very disappointed with my stay at this hotel and would not recommend it to families.
The room was not suitable for a family. The balcony was extremely small and not usable for sitting comfortably. Although I had booked a sea-view room, the overall condition of the room was disappointing. It was not properly cleaned, and the bathroom was poorly maintained. Several bathroom fittings were broken, including the hand shower for the toilet, which caused significant inconvenience.
The breakfast was also below expectations. During my three-day stay, the menu was almost the same every day. The bread was not fresh, the quality and taste of the food were poor, and there was very little variety. There were also very limited Asian breakfast options.
Overall, the hotel did not meet basic standards of cleanliness, maintenance, or food quality. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay here again and would not recommend this hotel to others.
The staff and the hotel's activity team were very unprofessional throughout our stay.
We paid USD 140 directly for activities that were advertised to last approximately five hours. However, the activities ended after only three hours, and we were not given the full experience we had paid for. There was poor communication regarding the schedule, and we felt that we did not receive value for our money.
When we raised our concerns, the hotel reception staff were not helpful and did not make any effort to resolve the issue. This lack of customer service made the experience even more frustrating.
Another concern was that all charges were made in U.S. dollars instead of the local currency, which was inconvenient and unexpected.
The check-in process was also extremely disappointing. We had to wait for more than two hours before receiving our room. This long delay wasted a significant part of our first day, and my family, especially my children, were very disappointed after such a tiring journey.
Overall, the poor customer service, delayed check-in, and failure to deliver the activities as promised made our stay extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel to other travelers based on my experience.

Our stay at Arena Beach Hotel was disappointing and fell well below the standards one would expect when visiting the Maldives.
The most concerning issue was the cleanliness of the room. We encountered cockroaches during our stay, which is simply unacceptable from both a hygiene and guest experience perspective. This alone raises serious questions about housekeeping standards and pest control procedures.
The service was equally disappointing. While hospitality should be a defining characteristic of any Maldivian property, the experience at the restaurant was the opposite. Several interactions with staff members, particularly Ari and Anu, felt indifferent and at times unprofessional. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like an inconvenience.
The food was another major letdown. The buffet lacked freshness, variety and quality. Most dishes felt highly industrialized and repetitive, with little resemblance to the culinary experience one would expect in a destination renowned for tourism and hospitality.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that the Maldives offers many excellent guesthouses and resorts that genuinely care about guest satisfaction. Arena Beach Hotel, unfortunately, did not demonstrate the same commitment to cleanliness, service or quality.
Based on this experience, I would not return and would encourage prospective travelers to carefully evaluate alternative options before booking.
Service is good
The hotel was located next to the Bikini Beach, where guests could wear swimsuits and swim in the sea. The hotel offered a variety of water activities for guests to choose from, including a day trip to snorkel with nurse sharks, and photograph with stingrays and sharks near the beach. Our rooms was lovely with comfortable beds and balconies overlooking the beach.
There was a bellhop who wasn't providing a service approached us and asked to leave good reviews specifying his name.
Staff esp.Iba & majitha helped us settle down easily. They were very friendly.

Excellent location. Staff is super polite and helpful, specially Majitha.
Good location , next to the beach , breakfast is available, a lot of excursions that you can book with the hotel.
