The hotel is located in the local island of Maafushi where the government regulations require that guests do not wear bikinis or similar swimwear while in public areas. However, the hotel can arrange excursions to picnic islands for guests where these restrictions are not applied.

The property can be reached by a public ferryboat or a chartered speedboat. This can be arranged by the hotel for which the payment will be collected upon check-in.

If your flight lands after 13:00, you will need to take the speedboat transfer or make arrangements to spend the night in Male.

An amazing little getaway
Pros:

I like that everything was clean, and modern. The staff, omg they were so helpful and always so friendly and easy to talk to. Genuinely made this one of the best hotel stays ever.

Cons:

The maintenance on the wallpaper in the rooms were the only thing i really had an issue with, other than that the property was in tip top shape.

Très bon cadre, belle chambre.
Pros:

Le cadre est exceptionnel et abordable niveau prix , le personnel très gentil et aimable .
L'accueil chaleureux !

Cons:

Que 1 ascenseur pour tout l'établissement, et la nourriture n'était pas assez varié .... Toujours des pâtes et du riz .

Le midi le buffet est pas assez conséquent pour ceux qui reste .... Nous n'avions peut être pas les bonnes informations comme il y a plusieurs endroits où se restaurer . Donc juste sur le nouriture je met une moin bonne note ... Sinon tout le reste est parfait !! Nous reviendrons a maafushi

Highly recommended!
Pros:

The staff is so nice. The room was cleaned and resfreshed everyday. They brought us fresh fruits to the room.
The buffet was good with live cooking every night.
The location of the hotel cannot be better. Just next to bikini beach and 5 minutos walk distance to everything.

Cons:

The corridor was noisy early in the morning. It has nothing to do with the hotel but the guests. But it was a bit annoying waking up like that

La nostra esperienza è stata davvero eccellente sotto ogni punto di vista. Siamo stati ospiti della struttura dal 22 gennaio al 2 febbraio 2026 e fin dal primo giorno ci siamo sentiti accolti e seguiti con grande professionalità.

Lo staff è stato straordinario: tutti bravissimi, sempre disponibili e molto attenti alle esigenze degli ospiti. La pulizia delle camere è ottima e costante.

In un primo momento ci era stata assegnata una camera con poca vista, ma alla reception si sono dimostrati subito disponibilissimi offrendoci prontamente una camera al 9° piano con una vista spettacolare sul mare e sulla spiaggia: un gesto davvero apprezzato.

Il cibo è stato sempre ottimo, con una menzione speciale allo chef: è stata una bellissima sorpresa trovare il cuoco che preparava la pasta al momento. Colazione ricca e varia, davvero di qualità.

L’hotel si è dimostrato estremamente efficiente anche in occasione di un imprevisto durante un’escursione: la mia compagna è scivolata battendo la testa e procurandosi una ferita. I ragazzi dello staff, che ringraziamo vivamente, ci hanno subito riportato al molo dove ci attendeva un addetto dell’hotel che ci ha accompagnato all’ospedale. Un supporto rapido, umano e professionale.
La sera stessa, uno dei ragazzi dello staff ci ha fatto arrivare in camera un piatto di frutta, un gesto semplice ma di grande attenzione che ci ha davvero riempito di gratitudine.

Vorremmo ringraziare tutti, uno per uno, i ragazzi dello staff, ma è davvero impossibile farlo singolarmente: ognuno di loro ha contribuito a rendere il nostro soggiorno speciale.

Perfetti anche i trasferimenti da e per l’aeroporto e Maafushi.
Il mare e la spiaggia sono stupendi, sempre con disponibilità di sdraio e ombrelloni: tutto organizzato alla perfezione.

Un momento che ci ha davvero emozionato è stato l’ultimo giorno, quando eravamo già sul battello per il trasferimento, vedere lo staff che dalla riva ci salutava: un

Pros:

Loves the hospitality and location. The staff was really cooperative and helpful, specially Mr Rajiv who personally assisted us in smooth transition of everything.
We got a room on 12th floor with sea as well as pool view, which was definitely worth every penny.

Mixed review please read the fire risk
Pros:

Location lis amazing. Mixed review, we found a cockroach and the fire safety is none existent. No fire safe doors or sprinklers we were on an inside room basically if there was a fire we would have died. Doors did not meet the floor. Away from this the location was brilliant. Staff were nice

Pobyt był ok, ale cena zbyt wysoka do wielkości pokoju, za tą cenę obok były 3 pokoje do wynajęcia

Miejsce ładne, widok z okna śliczny, blisko do plaży, 4 hotele w pobliżu do dyspozycji, 2 baseny, siłownia do dospozycji. Kilka rodzajów restauracji. Obsługa fenomenalna.

Cons:

Zniszczone meble, nie powinienem się czepiać szczegółów, ale grzyb był za szafką, może to był wykwit solny, nie mnie oceniać, nie robiłem badań toksykologicznych. Zarezerwowałem 4 osobowy z dostawką Premium Super Deluxe standard, otrzymałem kawalerkę 3 osobową z niepościeloną sofą i zużytymi meblami. Nie otrzymałem pokoju w standardzie wielkości jaki zamówiłem, za który bardzo drogo zapłaciłem.

Nice hotel, would stay again.
Pros:

Arena hotel itself is very beautiful and centrally located on Maafushi island. The outdoor facilities are excellent and the staff working in the restaurant are very attentive. Particularly Hashim who made us laugh every day! Our room was always spotless and the room service excellent. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to catch his name.

With that said, the guides for the excursions were wonderful: Izey Madey and Kitte.

In short, the service was in general very good. Aside from everyone at the reception and the main guy at the excursion counter. However, it made us feel better knowing we were NOT the only ones that felt that way. Again, the hotel itself was very nice and overall we would gladly stay again. We stayed over 7 nights if that makes a difference…

However, we stayed here 7 days and do unfortunately have a few things to point out. The female receptionist at arena veli seaview was incredibly rude and uninterested in EVERYTHING. We asked her several times different things (Shruti). The final straw was when we were checking out and I asked if she could possibly please assist with filling up our bottle (one). We know this was an option as they did offer that service in the room. She didnt give us a proper answer and just said ask at cafe. I then walked to the cafe who said they can only assist if we buy a water. I then went back to the reception and asked if they could please fill a tiny bit in since I didnt want to use any more plastic bottles. She again ignored and rolled her eyes and then said you have checked out, we do not offer you service anymore. I kid you not. There was no lost in translation excuse as everyones english is top knotch. I also understand that they want you to pay for water but since we literally had a bottle in the room I was hoping she could assist. It is very frustrating to see so so so much pollution from this hotel and the money making aspect is honestly sickening. We had met several at different hotels on the same island as well as our other hotels in Male etc that had no issue assisting. All in all, with a kinder attitude, it wouldnt have been a big deal AT ALL.
The same applies for the main guy responsible working at the excursion counter. He was so incredibly rude, it was gobsmacking and in the middle of our conversation with him (which was less than one minute!!!) he just turned away and began talking to someone else. We also tried to offer our feedback and he replied sarcastically.
