Located in center of McGregor. Historic building from 1857. Good restaurant below the hotel rooms. Perfect place for the base for hiking in parks around.
Behind property is railroad tracks. It is very, very loud when trains come by.

Not much was good about this place. Bathroom was so dirty we did not even shower. Toilet seat was GROSS. Bed was terrible. Tv was the size of a computer screen. Bedroom tv did not work.
Maybe provide a couple more towels-toilet paper etc. I think adding a microwave to the room would be a nice touch.

Had a nostalgic feel . It seems the bar and restaurant have the locals come to get together and congregate
Looks like the two story west with a bar below and the rooms at the top . This was fine. The stairs are alittle hard to manage however.

This was the first time I ever stayed here.. I had seen the place before I'm familiar with the town but never stayed here..
I had a very long ride (motorcycle).. and I was really really disappointed that they closed the steakhouse and the lounge at 7:00 p.m.. it was in fact a Sunday.. but it was also Labor Day weekend.. that one caught me off guard.
That bad.. that bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my entire life.. the room was nice and quaint and old style original.. I loved the room.
As far as the room I only disappointment was that (I am a big coffee lover) there was no creamer for your coffee.. and the sugar packets that were on the table were rock hard like they had been there for at least a year. It did not crush my stay.. I love the trip.. I love the scenery.. the room BED was really great.
