fair condition for c & c inn
Pros:

good breakfast but no fresh coffee, good dinner but limited menu. comfortable bed

Cons:

damaged power sucket, window didn't properly close so very draughty, carpet in corridor not fixed so it was difficult to push wheelchair. Entrance doors not wide enough for wheelchair. bathroom fittings tired.

A beautiful location, but
Pros:

The room and carpet were tired looking but clean.

Cons:

Too much noise made by other guests and a strong smell of marihuana permeated our room from neighbouring guests.
Kept awake until 4 a.m. Tried to call reception to report the situation but no reply.
Questioned the Receptionist on departure about who is checking guests are abiding by "no smoking" policy and consideration of other guests.

Amazing stay, great value for money, would come back
Pros:

Beautiful little property, loved the little cosy corner with the fire, tv and comfortable seating. Perfect place to sit and relax. And lovely outside area overlooking the lake.
Breakfast was delicious. Cooked beautifully and well seasoned

Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. They accepted a very late arrival and helped carry our bags upstairs.
The coffee the next morning was well priced and served with a friendly smile.

Cons:

The shower one in the bathroom was dripping with black gold that I only noticed at the end of the showering. Yuck!
I did give this feedback to the staff and they said that they would remedy this for the next guests.

Dont go, read the reviews, its the only thing the hotel lived up too

The recopnist was nice upon arrival

Cons:

When we arrived at the property, the receptionist was very nice, thats about the only nice thing I can stay about the stay. We arrived to a 16th birthday party, the music from this was excessively loud and was on until 1 in the morning still audible from my room on the third floor. The party although 16 were all drunk and smoking so much cannabis that the entire hotel stunk of it. The bed was rock solid and the bathroom was tiny, dirty and in most places rusty. We also had to pay an extra 10 for parking in the car park which was not disclosed when I booked this with yourself. Genuinely disappointed in every aspect of the stay.

Not as good as previous visits.
Pros:

Location is fabulous for dog walking and the views excellent. Prices in restaurant were good and location really convenient for the NEC.

Cons:

Having booked a year ago if it seems management had changed in that time and whereas when we booked it was free parking..on arrival we discovered only free if booked direct now. Other things like the dogs being allowed as flat rate for their stay it had now changed to an extra cost per night which we weren't made aware of as with the parking. Additionally room classifications had changed and so this caused issues as whilst we booked same as previous year, this year that room size was now much smaller and unsuitable which caused quite a bit of stress and commotion to get the room changed. The original rooms also had the issues that the bathroom door did not shut and huge burns in the carpet. The staff did help to get things sorted but it put a damper on the start of the visit. In all we came back and also recommended to many others however it wasn't as good as the previous year. All in all this visit cost considerably more than our visit in 2025 for what wasn't as good a service. The location is what sells it for me but I hope it's back to normal in future.
