Cuttle Bridge Inn Hotel - NEC / Birmingham Airport

The room was dirty dust on power sockets .marks all over the walls . No rubbish bin . Carpet not vacuumed . Dirty cups and only 2 of them . Show room , shower ceiling mouldy. Shower head mouldy , loose toilet. . The staff did find is a rubbish bin and did give us 3 fresh cups.

The fact that they had a function room very close to the bedrooms. For both nights we were kept awake by VERY loud parties. I only knew of the likelihood of parties happening the day before I was due to travel. If I had known this beforehand I would not have stayed here. I won't return. It was noisy and annoying. Plus the noise filtered through into the dining room when we were eating, which was also annoying.

Everything ok for 4 lads

Our first room we were given smelt of sewage and very musty, dirty carpet and used ear buds found in the bedside drawers. We moved rooms to the second floor, yes it was much cleaner but it was facing the road and we got no sleep at all due to the noise of traffic all night. Our neighbours were also very noisy, could hear everything. We wore also next to the stairs so could hear people up and down there all the time.

A little tired in places, but clean and tidy.

The first two rooms on the top floor which I had been given had not been cleaned or prepared. The staff gave some fantasy story about the electricians messing the beds up as they were fixing a fault on the ground floor; if so, the electricians took the towels and used the bathrooms; I don't think so. Unsurprisingly, the hard pillow I requested was not provided. Guest security was poor - the emergency exit door was propped wide open giving access from the street to all rooms - there should be a monitor or an alarm in reception to alert staff. Finally, in the evening, my wife's lasagne had been incinerated - black on both top and bottom - and yet it was allowed to leave the kitchen.

There was no key card in operation the stakk informed me that this happened at least once a month and it was a common occurrence having to ask a member of staff to open the door on the 2nd floor every time there was no remote control totally dissatisfied with the whole lot

Room was basic but clean. Pillows dreadful and need changing. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean & spacious. Shower very poor. Unable to change the temperature of the shower as the control was fixed solid. Water was tepid, and shower flow very poor. Good towels & toiletries. Tea & Coffee makings adequate. Smoking area outside room made room smell of cigarettes. Friendly staff but very slow service.Lots of noise in the morning, through gaps around door. Food in restaurant was below average. Sewage/Water treatment works very close by so there was always an unpleasant odour in the air.
