Initially, the thought of staying in a log cabin as it was to be a first time experience. Proximity to Yosemite National Park.
Closer inspection of the cabin revealed unwashed and stained bed covers and pillows that should have been retired years ago. There is general wear and tear then there is total lack of maintenance and repair, this cabin comes under the latter. Bathroom and kitchen need a total make over, the icing on the cake was the discovery in the morning of a sign affixed to (all) the cabin front from the Mariposa Fire Department stating that the hotel was unfit to trade as such and was forbidden to do so. Sign was dated July 13, 2023 and there we were in December 2024!
Grounds surrounding the cabins was unkempt and the access road was dangerous to turn off highway 140, this road was not an approved access.
Disappointing, if remedial work was undertaken to meet lawful requirements it would be a great place to stay.
The location was great
Louann was very sweet and helpful she came out to the main road late at night to guide us to cottage.
Could do we a bloody good clean
The property has so much potential it’s a shame it’s been let go.
Bathroom older but clean & acceptable
Outside can get some attention. Weber braai not cleaned from previous use.
Luann the manager was a very pleasant lady...f0r the price the room was clean with comfortable beds
the owner need to replace the pots and pans as soon as possible....the ones now are ready for the Garbage...outside of that every thing is aceptable...and really the Manager is great and make everybody feel comfortable.
The rural location and the cabin was very pretty. The cat was very cute and friendly to! The bed was very comfortable to
The kitchen wasn't very well stocked
The accommodation needs upgrading particularly the plumbing
A lovely Cabin in the woods close to the Yosemite National Park entrance.
Lou Ann was a wonderful host, she made sure we found our cabin and was very helpful with tips and tricks about Yosemite and our next stop. All communication before our visit was also great.
Nothing
Great price, not that far from yosemite hike trails.

The communication with LouAnn was always fast and accurate. It was nice having a BBq to cook some meals, a fridge, microwave and some other kitchen supplies.
Wonderful host! Felt like staying at a friend's place :)
Good location! Close to the park, away from the city crowd.
Location fabulous
Cooking things could be a lot better
Clean, pleasant and situated just perfectly between town and Yosemite national park.
The only bad thing was getting to the lodging. But that's not to blame the host as it is not only their plot of land. Make sure you have some kind of a SUV.
The property is very cute and rustic, good for if you’re just needing a place to come back to after a day in Yosemite!
Little hard to access but no big deal :)
