Geachte heer/mevrouw,

Ik wil via deze weg een klacht indienen over mijn verblijf in uw hotel in Gent. Helaas was mijn ervaring zeer teleurstellend en ver onder de verwachtingen die men van Van der Valk mag hebben.

De kamer was in een zeer slechte en onhygiënische staat. In de badkamer zat er overal roest, onder het bed lag veel stof en vuil, en verschillende stopcontacten zaten los en vielen bijna uit de muur. Dit gaf een erg onverzorgde en onveilige indruk.

Voor een hotel van uw niveau is dit absoluut niet wat een gast mag verwachten. Ik hoop dan ook dat u deze situatie serieus neemt en mij laat weten hoe u dit gaat oplossen. Een passende compensatie lijkt mij hier op zijn plaats.

Ik zie uw reactie graag zo snel mogelijk tegemoet.

Prima verblijf met een goede prijs/prestatie verhouding.
Pros:

Voor overnachten ivm een zakelijke reis of op doorreis tijdens vakantie is dit een prima hotel. Schone comfortabele kamer en een prima ontbijt.

Cons:

De kamer ( nr. 166 ) waar ik 2 nachten verbleef ligt aan de kant van de snelweg en daardoor onrustig ( als je zoals ik dat niet gewend bent ). De volgende keer een kamer aan de achterzijde boeken.

Filthy and totally incompetent staff

Only the breakfast is good and the bathroom were ok.

Cons:

When collecting the key (checking in was done in advance) we had to wait for 20 minutes until someone showed up. Then it took another 20 minutes to give us a key. We booked a hotel room for the evening of the 24th of december to be able to go to bed in time after our family gathering. In the time we waited for the entirely incompetent reception staff, we could have driven home.
Also, toilets were very dirty. Someone shat and puked all over them. Reception was informed about this by guests as we were waiting but didn't care to do anything about it. The hotel is very dirty and chaotic in general. Tapestry in the rooms are filthy.

Sowas kenne ich von Van Der Valk nicht
Pros:

Schnelle Erreichbarkeit direkt an der Autobahn und viele Parkplätze. Freundlich, professioneller Empfang.

Cons:

Sehr abgerocktes Zimmer, dazu nicht sauber. Dreck und Flecken an mehreren Stellen. Zeichen von Wasserschaden an der Zimmerdecke am Fenster.

Absoluut niet Van der Valk waardig!!!!
Pros:

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Zelfs begripvol.
Ze leken te berusten in de klachten die er kwamen, niet enkel van ons maar ook andere mensen voor ons aan de balie.

Cons:

Zeer oud hotel. Absoluut niet Van der Valk waardig. Muffe geur in de gang, muffe geur in de lift, muffe geur in de kamer.
Gordijnen hingen los, vuile ramen, zeer oud en vies schimmelig kitwerk. Spiegeltje in badkamer hing nog half aan de muur.
Douchekop vol kalk. Uiteindelijk gaan klagen en toch een andere kamer gekregen. Deze leek op het eerste zicht toch een vernieuwing te hebben gehad maar in de ochtend was het eigenlijk net zo erbarmelijk als de vorige kamer.
Houten deuren in de gang krom getrokken van de vochtigheid, vies oud en vuil tapijt op de vloer. Ik kan nog wel doorgaan

Gastvrij onthaal op prima locatie. Bekend goede keuken.
Pros:

Ligbad in de badkamer.

Cons:

Heel veel personeel tijdens het vroege ontbijt. Jonkies zonder ervaring, die de tijd moesten doden. Dit stoorde mij als gast.
Half uurtje later beginnen?
Borden en bestek moet je zoeken als je niet bekend bent. Geen logische plek naar mijn idee.
