I like everything about this lodge hotel, very helpful staff, they make you feel at home.
Nothing I didn't like
Hotels in Tacloban were full and I booked this thinking it was close. it’s not. it’s an hour or more by bus.
on arrival, in the dark it looked like the closest thing I’d seen to an American motel.
Once inside those, it was not bad at all and I had two days staying in a really interesting place I may never have gone to.
Riza any her staff were exceptionally helpful and did everything in their power to make sure their guests were comfortable.
I had to leave before the cafe opened for breakfast but had one of a few baby coconuts I’d been given by a local man. (delicious)
How to open it with nobody around - hmmm
Riza actually asked her father to help and he did.
He cycled down on a trike with his wife on board and not only opened the coconut but also carved a traditional spoon from a part of the shell.
A wonderful memory
