Sigiri Liya Rest

I had the most amazing time at Sigiri Liya Rest!!!The room is really big and also the bathroom. Both was super clean. I just loved chilling infront of the room and watching the monkeys and giant squirrel - real jungle feeling. Shaly and his family are super friendly and helpful. I did a saferi with shaly and it was just the best! He knows a lot about the animals. Another guest did a bicycle tour with Shaly and he showed him a lot of hidden local spots! Although Its no Hostel it was super easy to connect with other guests. I can highly recommend to stay there!! Also the Liyas Restaurant is really nice.

Really recommend staying at Sigiri Liya Rest. The family running the guesthouse are the friendliest people, who go above and beyond when it comes to making sure you have a good stay.

The location is good, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the restaurant food is always freshly prepared, and tastes amazing.

We did a safari with Shaly, who clearly loved being in the national park, and shared his knowledge enthusiastically throughout. Shaly also took us to Trinco afterwards, at a good rate, with some great stop offs on the way.

We only wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

A truly wonderful experience at Zigiri Lia Rest! We had the pleasure of both staying overnight and dining here, and everything was simply perfect.

The food was excellent, prepared with care and passion, with authentic flavors that won us over from the very first bite. Every dish was thoughtfully crafted down to the smallest detail.

But what made our stay truly special was the warm welcome from the entire family. The lady is incredibly kind, always helpful and smiling; her son is equally friendly and attentive; and her husband also made us feel right at home. You can really sense the love and dedication they put into their work.

We highly recommend it to anyone looking for not only great cuisine, but also a warm, family-run atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

La chambre en elle même

Richtig gemütlich, sehr viel Natur, gutes Essen und sehr nette und hilfsbereite Eigentümer. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Fijne locatie en super vriendelijk én gezellig personeel! Het is echt super gezellig ingericht en geeft echt een gevoel van thuis. Ook een goede kwaliteit/prijs verhouding. De cocktails en sapjes van het hotel zelf zijn ook echt een aanrader, mega lekker! We kregen ook nog hele goede tips van het personeel en hebben onze reis iets aangepast op hun aanraden (jongens, als jullie dit lezen, we gaan toch naar Trincomalee en jullie aanbevolen route volgen. Dankjewel!!)

Ik zou deze accomodatie iedereen aanbevelen die naar Sigiriya gaat.

The room is really well equipped and the bed confortable. The terrace is also nice. Overall really good.

Chathura was een onwijs vriendelijke gastheer, en heeft ons van alles geleerd, tips gegeven en ervoor gezorgd dat we een geweldig verblijf hadden.

Our stay here was amazing. Generous breakfast, comfortable bed. The family were lovely, very welcoming. It was the perfect location and was a peaceful setting overlooking their gardens. We tried their family restaurant next door and it was excellent food and well priced. We loved everything about our stay here and would highly recommended.

In einer Seitenstraße von Sigiriya gelegen. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer auf der ersten Etage mit Blick ins Grüne. Am Morgen gab es das leckerste Sri Lankanische Frühstück. Außerordentlich netter Gastgeber. Das Restaurant am Hotel war super lecker.

I had such an amazing stay there! The staff was very helpful and sweet by touring me around with a tuktuk and cook traditional dinner/breakfast. I would love to come back with my friends/family next time!

Ein absoluter Geheimtipp – sehr zu empfehlen!

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft rundum genossen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht – von bequemen Betten ….. Besonders positiv hervorheben möchte ich die ruhige Lage und die freundliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin/den Gastgeber.

Die Kommunikation vorab war unkompliziert und herzlich, der Check-in verlief reibungslos. Ich habe mich vom ersten Moment an willkommen gefühlt.

Wer eine gemütliche, saubere und gut gelegene Unterkunft sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!
