Pros:

actually the location was good as it is near the centre.
the staff was welcoming.
the food was good.

Cons:

there was alot of insects inside the room which make my staying not comfortable.
the water heater was not working properly.

Pros:

The stay is amazing, aesthetic as I wanted. The place is so calming. It is a homestay so we got a homely feeling. The hosts are really sweet. They took us to nearby places to explore the village, Sigiriya lion rock, market. It was a comfortable stay. Wish to come back again and again.

Nhà nghỉ liên kết với booking.com và tôi đã đặt phòng thành công, nhưng khi đến nhận phòng thì báo là không hề biết có thông tin đặt phòng của tôi rồi nói lí do không biết và bắt tôi chờ đến 13:00 mới được check in, sau đó đến 13 giờ thì cho tôi nhận phòng nhưng với thái độ cực tệ, anh ta không hề xin lỗi tôi mà vẫn nói không biết tôi có đặt phòng, trong khi a ta đã nhận được thông tin booking của tôi , nhưng còn tỏ thái độ không vui, vì chỗ khách sạn đang sửa đường lối vào khách sạn, nói chung là có vẻ anh ta không thích sự hiện diện của tôi, sau đó anh ta đòi passport của tôi và tôi đưa hình cho anh ta trong điện thoại của tôi, nhưng anh ta đòi tôi đưa passport thật chứ không chịu hình ảnh và nói tôi có thể làm giả hình ảnh, sau đó bạn tôi hỏi là chúng tôi có ăn sáng miễn phí nữa đúng không? Ubicación buena, habitación muy aceptable.
Quisimos hacer actividad y el hijo del dueño nos ayudó a todo lo que necesitábamos. Hicimos un safari y muy bien.

Cons:

Hicimos una excursión y confiamos con el dueño, nos dio un precio muy alto, comparado con el pick me o cualquier taxi tuk tuk, se aprovechó de nosotros ya que no hablábamos mucho inglés. Y cuando le dije el problema no quiso responder, creo que al final hay que ayudar al turista y no aprovecharse.

I had the most amazing time at Sigiri Liya Rest!!!The room is really big and also the bathroom. Both was super clean. I just loved chilling infront of the room and watching the monkeys and giant squirrel - real jungle feeling. Shaly and his family are super friendly and helpful. I did a saferi with shaly and it was just the best! He knows a lot about the animals. Another guest did a bicycle tour with Shaly and he showed him a lot of hidden local spots! Although Its no Hostel it was super easy to connect with other guests. I can highly recommend to stay there!! Also the Liyas Restaurant is really nice.

Cons:

I was sad leaving this beautiful place.
