Convenient place to stay for a night if you're late to catch the ferry
Pros:

I got to Parapat late after traveling from Medan, and I was able to book the room and check in effortlessly an hour later. The room, was quite run down and old, but I was happy because it was clean and safe, they provided a towel and there was even a little cable TV with English channels. The cute kitten hanging out around reception was a nice bonus.

Cons:

The bathroom is quite gloomy, super low toilet, and no shower, just cold water bucket to wash yourself. That's normal for the area though. It was loud outside in the morning, loud everywhere around this town.
