Staff very helpful room was very clean bed was comfortable,down side due to the very hot weather we didn't have a good night's sleep, not the hotels fault and I'm totally not in any way blaming they hotel but I guess due to health and safety and age of the building the window only opened a little bit so no fresh air came in it was so hot I would definitely say the room was in need of a fridge in tea and coffee was supplied but in my opinion they should also have left water in the room,as we had nothing to drink all, and yes it was our fault but for the cost of the room I don't think this is a lot to ask for. On the plus side a small fan was in the room but it made little difference, room was very clean, bed was comfortable bathroom was in and clean. Breakfast was really good very tasty.
No air con in the room and definitely needs a fridge in the room, and bottles of water.
The bed was comfortable
Unless you have no other choice, do not stay here. The rooms were boiling hot with no aircon (just a small fan), no complimentary drinking water, and no towels in the bathroom when we arrived, we had to ask for them at reception.
On top of that, they charged £25 for early key collection and forced a 10:30 AM checkout despite advertising 12:00 PM online. When challenged, the staff blamed Booking.com, complained about only having two cleaners, and called me rude for asking them to update their terms. Unprofessional management and a very poor experience overall.

Room was hot , but was understandable given the temperature outside , fan was provided though which helped

Not a lot, the breakfast menu was somewhat difficult to understand, the full English breakfast was good and large but it appeared that apart from endless coffee nothing else was available although there were continental options and other options. Basically if I have a full English I would expect to have maybe a croissant and jam as well ie as in a Premier Inn. Not that significant a point and does not detract from this being a very nice place to stay a few nights.
The shower room was excellent. Handheld and rain shower,easy to operate. Huge bath towels and heated towel rail. Hand soap and shower soap supplied. Pleasant decor in the room. Comfy king-size bed. The room was a double aspect, which was appreciated.
Sofa bed was set up, taking a large amount of space. Told by staff this was policy. We asked for it to be folded back so we could use the sofa. Dust on drinks tray and tissue box,which was empty when we checked in.
Housekeeping was hit and miss. Tea mugs were not changed every day. Bed only made up properly one day of our 5 night stay. Pillows need replacement as lumpy and hard. Storage limited.
All niggles really and compensated by the shower room being so good.

Das Zimmer war für vier Personen perfekt und das Frühstück absolut sensationell. Die Anreise geht mit dem Auto problemlos, da ein grosser Parkplatz gleich neben dem Haus vorhanden ist. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und fühlten uns rundum gut umsorgt. Die Atmosphäre im Gastraum war auch beim Nachtessen wunderbar und Kinder waren sehr willkommen.
Da die Unterkunft direkt an einer Strasse liegt, ist etwas Verkehrslärm nicht abzuwenden.
The room was clean and tidy,the bed was reasonably comfortable,although we didn't like the pillows,they were too big and hard.we did enjoy our stay. We wanted to book breakfast for the next morning,we were asked to wait for the morning, as the staff member said there were two different prices for breakfast.we have stayed here many times and never had a problem booking breakfast before.we did not stay for breakfast as we felt this issue could have been sorted when we arrived.
Hard lumpy pillows.And not being able to book breakfast when we arrived,it seemed too difficult,for what should have been a straight forward process.
