Great pub / Hotel .. food excellent
Pros:

Great start, food exceptionally above the normal ‘pub’ standard… Topsham and Topsham station easy to reach.. a great stay.

Cons:

Breakfast .., the ordered meals excellent.. but no help yourself toast and jam .. a pity. Coffee was good

Like the quick access to car park available to some rooms. Car park good. Also convenient for bus service to Exeter and Exmouth

Cons:

Breakfast was ok, although choice was a bit more limited and didn't match what we had expected and, overall, was not as good as we have experienced at other hotels used recently, notably hotels that are more competitive (eg Greene King chain). Room was also a bit smaller, although adequate for needs,

Reception we got was unwelcoming and unhelpful.
Fire safety worry. Could not get out if the hotel in the morning as one of the fire doors was not opening. Hence had to find another route out . No staff available until 8.00. All doors were locked and we eventually made our way out down back stairs and another fire door. Could not get back into the hotel to leave bedroom keys, so left them with the chef.

Nettes Personal, gutes Essen inkl. Frühstück. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Cons:

Zimmer etwas klein. Bei 2 Personen mit 2 Koffern weiß man kaum wohin damit. Die Fenstergriffe sollten unbedingt erneuert bzw. repariert werden.

It was very enjoyable. The car park was bigger than expected and it was easy to find a parking bay.
Pros:

Breakfast was served hot and was well cooked. Cold dishes were also very good. The room was fine, cleaned every day, the only downside was that storage space was limited. Dinner was quite pricey, however the bar menu was good.

Cons:

Maybe a lift to the first floor.

Parking, checkin.. evening meal… but you had to book… was almost full!

Cons:

First day breakfast..awful, couldn’t eat it.. smashed avocado on toast and humus… poached egg was hard boiled, toast was like a roof tile and humus… way too much garlic for comfort… and waitress never flinched as sh3 took it away… and no comment or question either.
