We slept well, we ate well and the view was very special!
Pros:

AAJ Haveli is a well priced, boutique hotel is a very good location. The rooftop restaurant with views over the lake is a major plus. Highly recommended.

Cons:

The staff don't speak much English but we made it through OK.

Not a very great experience
Pros:

While booking the Hotel we looked for proximity to Lake pachola . Only the rooftop dining room had some view . The property says 4 star but is a 3 star property .

Cons:

It’s a 3 star property and we paid thru our nose as it was during new year vacations . Very difficult access thru very narrow lanes . Their largest room itself was very small .the staff was nice but the property is not Upto 4 star level . The breakfast was very bad all the food was Cole and a very basic fare .

Cons:

Poor management, whole hotel is out of water in the morning, no facilities of warm water in winter. Food is Poor quality. I lost my wallet in that premise.

Pros:

The aesthetics and details of heritage theme were on point. Clean rooms to staff’s hospitality made us to write this now. It’s a must stay property in udaipur.

Visit the rooftop restaurant for a nice view
Pros:

Being accommodated at a different place, I visited only the restaurant at this hotel, even though it was multiple times.
The meals were good and I especially liked the view from the rooftop in the evening. Also the facade and the general aesthetics of the hotel are nice, so if you like boutique-like design, this is the place for you.
Belonging to the same owner as Pax Rafahiya Haveli, the restaurant also serves breakfast for the guests of this hotel. The place was making big effort on the day when the manager wanted to take picture of me and my friend having breakfast at the place. The other day it was much calmer and staff at the restaurant didn't make such big effort anymore.

Nice boutique hotel
Pros:

The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean and the beds comfortable. Staff were helpful. The hotel approx 15 mins to city palace but on a narrow road so the taxi could not drop us outside the hotel but if you call the hotel they will send a tuc tuc to get you. The roads are also dark and narrow at night so would recommend a tuc tuc back.
Breakfast was ok but could have been improved by having some cereals. They made an omelette for us but only when we asked for eggs. We had lunch there which took a long time to come and wasn’t the best lunch we have had in India but the restaurant is on the rooftop with a nice view of the lake

Please read this review carefully before booking.
We booked our stay on July 12th 2023 for aug 13-16th almost a month before and we had paid a advance amount to Mr.Surya Singh Who is one of the staff at Aaj Haveli, Udaipur Rajasthan.. We had received the confirmation from them as well. On the day when we were about to reach with our 3year old baby at around 3. We got a call from hotel staff saying due to technical issues they are not able to provide us the room and asked us if they can refund the amount to us.. We were traveling from Mumbai to Udaipur and befor one hour of our check in they informed us saying there were no rooms available.. and this week being a long holiday weekend we were unable to get any accomodation in whole udaipur.. we faced a lot of issues due to such unprofessional behaviour of the staff of Aaj haveli. When we tried to contact the higher management of the hotel. Mr.Akash and Mr. They didn't even bother to answer our calls and refrained by saying they are busy having their lunch..This is the way they treat their tourists.. and our hotel room was not confirmed just bcoz one of the foreigners had checked in on the same day with maybe higher amount for sure.. we have complained to Rajasthan tourism and we will for sure raise complaint on this hotel chain to higher authority as well.. coz we do not want anybody to face the situation as we faced. We were sitting at hotel lobby till 7:00 pm ...We had booked the complaint to Ms. Saxena from rtdc who helped us a lot in getting the accommodation on very short notice. We would really like appreciate her efforts over here .. thanks a ton else we would have had to stay on railway platforms

Hotel very Good, Location not good
Pros:

Hotel was good, Entire Staff team is so courteous specially Reception Manager & Restaurant manager. They keep hotel neat & clean all the time. The only problem is location of hotel which is in dense area surrounded by so many houses & narrow lanes where you can reach only by small Rickshaw or walking. No Grocery, medical or any businesses around the hotel, Not advisable for senior citizen, only young people can stay at such place who are ready to walk from that narrow lanes.
