The hotel had parking with chargers for an electric car. It was in a lovely spot close to the river and had garden areas all around it. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and very efficient. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The facilities that were there were good.
The room would have been better with a suit case stand , fridge some drawers or shelves in the wardrobe, As it was the suitcase was on the floor . The room also did not have a safe which is unusual nowadays A shaving point and make up mirror and a shelf for a washing bag would have been useful in the bathroom.
Everything, lovely house, grounds, general location and above all fantastic staff to look after you.
Nice people and location was good. And the meal we ate there was nice , all the staff were very friendly and obviously good at what they do . The pastries left in the room were a nice touch and the fans given the heatwave . The bed was comfy and the pillows , also the telly was decent and not a relic.
I thought the finish in the rooms was a bit tired for example dripping taps cracked sink shabby carpets etc . It was fine just looking like its ready for refurbishment, including the wobbly outside patio .
Breakfast was good but nothing amazing , my bacon looked like it had been water bathed instead of fried, it was similar to most bnbs around Buxton in fairness.
