Not one of our favourite stays
Pros:

We really enjoy staying here because of the locality and service

Cons:

We didn’t like the fact that we had clothing items destroyed by bleach left in the bathroom floor

Price not meet expectations
Pros:

Location. Good breakfast. Staff at reception super friendly. Balcony room. Gym. Pool. Strong stream shower.

Cons:

Our bed was never made once after we checked in. Didn't replace empty tissue box. Sliding door not properly closed. It was winter and air was still coming through between door and frame after closed. It needs replacement. Sheer curtain needs replacement. It's not long enough. What's with hotel lights being too dim?

Cons:

It was a pretty basic room and outdated decor. Buffet breakfast if $42pp plus $70 for valet parking. Super expensive by comparison.pariaon to other 5 star hotels. I would rate this a 4 star hotel

Stay anywhere else
Pros:

Location

Cons:

From check in receptionist wasn't welcoming and seemed put out to process check in and that i was less then staying in one hotel instead of another at same location i think she mentioned mercure. Room (453) had weird chemical stain on back of front door coming from top of door (blue) and room appeared worn and dirty, carpets unclean - outside area was mouldy, nil view - unless people smoking is a view - and for $600 for the night I expected more. I usually stay at the Rydges and for that will get a balcony with a view, nice breakfast, robes, slippers, room service, nice people and a clean room.
Room service at 11pm when i returned to room from a function was so limited and all gluten based i had to uber food. Why do they take a $50 deposit if there isn't a mini bar, anything to order or anything to take?
Breakfast in the morning was limited unless you wanted to line up for a omelette with 10 other people at 6am before you even have a coffee in. Had to buy a coffee from the barrister as coffee machine only did drinks with full cream milk so even if you've paid extra for the breakfast if you're an alternative milk person youll need to pay again. I tried to make a coffee with the shot from the machine and oat milk they had and it was undrinkable. When I told the barrister and asked to have a paid coffee i was told they use the same beans, weird as coffee she made tasted great. Again not attitude someone needs before their morning coffee at the beginning of their work day.
Was woken before six with nearby doors being slammed, people going to breakfast? This place isn't for me and I'm reviewing as usually I don't bother but the standard we walk past is the standard we accept.
