Lovely location, we booked a Suite which was very comfortable the hotel and surrounding buildings are very interesting - super close to the Cathedral and Town Centre. Lovely walks close by and good selection of nice places to eat
Only minus was no evening meals, you need to go out or order in
The Castle is the place to stay if on business/visiting Hereford! Staff were very helpful, with a smile and make great coffee! Rooms had little extras like fresh milk, bottles water in glass, crisps if you were peckish and even a cherry for an evening tipple! Breakfast room was lovely and fresh especially given the weather with the All Hereford brekkie a must. Outside seating area was relaxing given the surrounding trees and quietness despite being in an area with surrounding houses not that you would know they were there. Handy for the main town a few minutes walk away also. Hard to find anything wrong or worth mentioning that detracted from the hotel. Will be my priority booking when visiting Hereford where rooms allows! Great job and worth 5 stars alone for the staff's helpfullness.
Nothing. Great place to stay !
An absolutely delightful hotel in every way. Thank you ☺️
Nice property and location.
Too hot, rubbish fan and room very small. No evening food but even a simple bar menu very poor!
Location
Thought I had booked a suite in an Hotel but discovered we were two floors up- no lift- in B&B annex.
Lovely rooms, fantastic location and excellent breakfast.
Nothing really.
Fabulous hotel in a great location in a superbly renovated historic building, excellent breakfast and cool bar.

helpful staff who took my case to my room and let me park outside - great breakfast - close to restaurants - option to have take aways in the restaurant area
gorgeous view over the river from the breakfast room
maybe need some kind of net curtain in the room for when getting dressed
parking tight to get into if you have a big car
food was great would have been nice to have the option of some light food in the evenings
A very smart and comfortable hotel. Spacious and well appointed room. Lighting a little dim - bedside light barely strong enough to read by. Very clean and modern bathroom. Excellent shower. Breakfasts were excellent and staff attentive and polite. Sunday lunch unremarkable. Location excellent. Dining room overlooks what remains of the castle moat. Castle Street leads directly to the cathedral, less than a 5 minute walk away. Small hotel car park disappoints when full. Overall, very good.

we liked the location with the lake and town center. breakfast was good, we invited friends and they enjoyed their meal. the room was comfortable and spacious.
There wasn't anything we particularly didn't like.
When I asked to check in I was sent to the restaurant and then taken back to reception which was a bit confusing, but not a problem.
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location with cosy rooms, well equipped with thoughtful touches. Very traditional in keeping with surroundings but rooms still felt modern and elegant. The cute little welcome hamper and decanter of sweet liquor was a lovely addition.
Thought the breakfast would have had more a hotel buffet vibe but it was just one option off the menu. Very nice all the same so no complaints.
Very friendly staff, great location and beautiful building.
Room was small but we did know that when booking.
Close to cathedral for singing the services
Slow service at breakfast and toast served long after hot breakfasts
