The room (a Townhouse Suite in a separate house down the road) was spacious. Breakfast was good. The location is excellent - very convenient for everything in Hereford.
The room was very old fashioned and everything was a bit worn out. Service at breakfast was slow. There was no-one at Reception when we arrived and it took a long time to find anyone. Parking is difficult. We got woken up in the middle of the night by a group of ex-SF geezers coming back from a night on the lash. It absolutely was not worth £295 per night.
Castle Hotel staff are amazing, really polite and couldn't do enough to help. The bar/breakfast room is really nice - the breakfast was great, unfortunately they don't do an evening meal but they do let you order food in and provide you with you with plates and cutlery. We had a lovely curry from around the corner from the hotel, which we ate in the garden which is nice. The hotel is clean and tidy and a lovely place to stay, also, the cathedral is 2 minutes walk away. We had a lovely stay thank you.
Nothing to dislike about our stay.
Breakfast was very good room and location good
Was very warm but can’t help the weather!
Proximity to Hereford Cathedral and other locations. Very clean Excellent staff
Sea gulls pestering for food
It was very comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely air-conditioned restaurant which overlooked the duck pond and garden. A 3 minute walk from the Cathedral and town centre. Brilliant breakfast. Really enjoyed my stay. Had its own car park.
Can't think of anything thing.... other than the noisy seagull early on the morning 😀
Great location near to Cathedral and on river. Breakfast was excellent and good service. Lovely room and comfortable bed
Beautiful hotel in a central location for Hereford. Great bar and restaurant by the river.
The breakfast was only table service. I would have liked some fresh fruit or a yogurt and nothing was offered except a hot meal or porridge
Nice friendly family run Hotel
Good location.
We weren’t allowed to use the facilities on the evening we arrived due to a ‘private event’ which wasn’t told to us before booking - meaning we couldn’t use the bar / restaurant.
Breakfast excellent
Wall paper peeling in the corridor. Few flowers indoors and in the garden.
The bedroom was compact as described, the bed was very comfy and the fan was on ,which was a nice touch as it was very hot . We liked the fact they support local businesses with their produce in the bedroom and dinning room . The staff at breakfast were very hardworking and lovely .
The service at breakfast was too slow 45mins ! the staff were great and went above and beyond apologising but they needed more staff .The breakfast was very tasty when it finally arrived .
Location fabulous and very friendly and attentive staff
All good no complaints
Location was good. Facilities good.
We were in an annexe which did not have a lift.
Great breakfast, I highly recommend the Hereford Sausages.
Friendly staff
Location, breakfast, parking (although that is limited so I was lucky)
Very friendly helpful staff
Limited bar facilities, (very early closing).
Room was a bit warm and the fan didn't really help. As the window opened onto the roof of lower part of building i couldn't leave open overnight.
