Staff were lovely and friendly
The castle was interesting and renovated to a very high standard
The food was poor value, we aren't fussy eaters and have travelled the world but found a couple of courses inedible. Sourdough bread course at dinner and served again at breakfast was so tough it couldn't be cut. There isn't any outdoor area other than a rampart walkway. Resident dog in the doorway and kitchen entrance, which feels like a back door to the restaurant.
Definitely a restaurant with rooms not a hotel, we get the distinction now!

Très agréable surprise de découvrir cette forteresse dans une zone très isolée ! A l’intérieur de la forteresse on s’installe dans des chambres confortables. Le point fort c’est la restauration ! Les repas sont d’un niveau de Haute Gastronomie !
