Romantisch kasteel met een zeer goede prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding
Pros:

Prachtig historisch huis met een kamer die zowel aan de jaren 1910 deed denken als aan modern comfort. Prima buffetontbijt en bijzonder vriendelijk personeel. Veel vrije parkeerruimte.

Een lift zou handig zijn, maar zonder kan ook

Mooi kasteel maar men moeten zich

Het is een prachtig kasteel. De kamer en badkamer waren subliem’

Cons:

We hadden vooraf een diner gereserveerd en bij het maken van de reservatie werd ons uitdrukkelijk meegedeeld dat dit in de dining room zou plaatsvinden. Bij aankomst bleek het diner echter in de breakfast room door te gaan, wat qua sfeer, uitstraling en setting toch een heel andere ervaring was.

We kregen te horen dat de dining room was voorbehouden voor een yogagroep. Dat vonden we eerlijk gezegd erg jammer. Het diner zelf was bijzonder verzorgd, royaal en elegant.Net daarom vonden we het jammer dat wij uiteindelijk in een andere ruimte werden geplaatst voor een gelegenheid die duidelijk een heel andere sfeer en dresscode had.

Wat het extra jammer maakte, was dat er in de dining room naar onze indruk nog meer dan voldoende plaats was om ook ons tafeltje te voorzien. We hadden dan ook het gevoel dat onze reservatie, zoals oorspronkelijk aangekondigd, niet helemaal werd gerespecteerd. Dat heeft toch wat afbreuk gedaan aan de ervaring.

A luxury room lacking luxury

It is a beautiful old castle with a touch of grace. The room was clean and spacious.

Cons:

I am not usually overly critical and often wish hotel owners the best, but this was disappointing. We booked a ‘luxury’ room, though it was unclear exactly what was meant by that term. What we missed were a cool room, a warm welcome, a way to keep our drinks cold, a cup of coffee, a bathroom spacious enough for two, and nice towels. What we did have: a 1990s-era television, a duvet suitable for freezing temperatures, and two handheld fans from the local camping store.

Een onvergetelijk verblijf in een mooie, schone en historische omgeving voor een familie-uitje.
Pros:

Uitgebreid ontbijt en een heerlijke smaak. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk. De locatie ligt heel dicht bij het Villeroy & Boch Museum en de boottocht. Het park van het gasthuis is groot en heerlijk om in te wandelen, met een mooi uitzicht op de rivier de Saar. De Romeinse Villa is binnen 15 minuten bereikbaar, net als de mooie stad Saarburg met haar waterval.

Cons:

De bedden werden tijdens de schoonmaak niet opgemaakt. Daarnaast is de lift alleen bedoeld voor goederen en niet voor personen. Dit mooie gasthuis is daarom ongeschikt voor ouderen die slecht ter been zijn.

Pros:

De setting en omgeving van het kasteel was prima, zeer rustig gelegen. Het kasteel zelf ademt een heel authentieke sfeer en voelt zeer prettig aan. Het ontbijt was super in hele mooie, aangeklede ruimtes met prachtig servies van Villeroy-Boch.

Lage, Ausstattung und Personal super. Auch das Essen im Restaurant und natürlich das historische Ambiente. Die Lage im Park war für uns ein Extra Highlight.

mooi van buiten maar van binnen niet comfortabel

Personeel aan het avondeten was vriendelijk.

Cons:

Het was spijtig als het personeel bij het ontbijt weinig informatie gegeven heeft over het eten, bv dat je ook roerei kon bestellen, maar dit was helaas totaal niet het geval.
Airco was een groot gemis zeker als het buiten 40 graden was , we lagen onder het dak en dit was totaal niet leefbaar!
