Beautiful hotel and room. Really stylish and clean. Location is great. Latte and breakfast from the restaurant was good.
The soundproofing is almost non-existent: you can hear conversations from neighboring rooms, people walking in the hallway, doors slamming… it’s impossible to have any peace and quiet.
It's on top of a restaurant and after closing at 9pm, the music continues, then you can clearly hear dishes and glasses being put away for a long time, as well as staff talking loudly among themselves. In the morning, preparations for the café start again as early as 6:30am.
As a result, the night was very poor and it was nearly impossible to sleep properly.
Over 30,000 yen per night is already a high price for a room with shared bathrooms, but the most basic expectation from a hotel is to be able to rest which is unfortunately not the case here.
If you are looking for a quiet stay, this is not it. Very poor value for money.
Also we were told a reservation for breakfast was not necessary but when arriving in the morning we could not sit at some tables because they were reserved which we found a bit strange...

The restaurant for dinner was excellent. Simple menu but everything was really delicious.
Room was good, very comfortable, bright and clean.
We were in the annex housing 2 rooms, so we felt disconnected a hotel experience.

The location is great and the layout of the rooms is perfect as although they are small you don’t feel cramped
There’s nowhere to hang a towel or a coat, some hooks would be helpful!
It was a quaint spot and a comfortable space. The view is great. Easy access to Shimanami kaido, ferry and bike rental. Friendly staff. Bath was nice.
Everything is squeezed into a small space. There were 3 apartments in the upstairs area we had. You could hear everything. The bed is not really big enough for 2 larger adults so made sleeping tricky. Very few breakfast options nearby.

We loved this very cool, modern, minimalistic small hotel. The room we had was cleverly designed with different levels incorporating a lounge, bench space, comfy bed and bathroom. The hotel is in a perfect spot to stop halfway on the Shimanami Kaido cycle path.
The staff are fantastic. Friendly, welcoming and extra helpful. The restaurant on site is very special too. Meals are cooked on an open fire and were delicious.
