Convenient for the Shimanami Kaido but not ideal if travelling with children. Staff were very friendly..
Pros:

Location was excellent for riding the Shimanami Kaido, clean and tastefully decorated

Cons:

Expensive for what was available. There was also confusion between the twin room I had booked and the small double room I was given (for two teenage boys) which was a shame..

Clean, very nice but expensive
Pros:

Location and cleanliness, as well as the meals - that need to be booked separately and one needs to know to book them

Pros:

Amazing location and the rooms were top notch. Super private, clean and in true Japan style had everything you needed (and more).

Cons:

Breakfast options at the restaurant are limited but it’s no problem.

部屋からの景色が良かったです。
どのスタッフさんの対応も優しく素晴らしかったです。
一人旅だったのでたくさん話しかけてくださってとても嬉しかったです。また訪れたいと感じました。

I felt because there were not many places to stay that this property overcharged for substandard services and very basic food and beverage. Also, the room was tiny and extremely expensive for what it was.

Pros:

１Fが美味しいレストランと海の眼の前というロケーション、部屋の広さ。

Cons:

かけ布団があまりにも重く固く、寝苦しくて何度も目がさめてしまった。翌日は寝不足で車の運転が危なかった…。この金額の単価の宿であれば、布団を心地よいものに見直す投資をして良いと思います。

New hotel with a great restaurant
Pros:

Great location. Very new facility. We’ll set up for cyclists. Brilliant restaurant.

Cons:

The family room with semi capsule setup was a bit tight. A little expensive vs other hotels on the Shimanami Kaido.

Chambre avec décoration design soignée, grande propreté, confort, parfait pour un stop sur la voie cyclable entre Onomichi et imabari.

Cons:

Selon les voisins, on peut se faire réveiller par leur pas au dessus de notre chambre.

Wonderful place, we'll be back!
Pros:

Absolutely loved our stay at SOIL Setoda! Such a great complex, a very beautiful room, and the VIEW! The food at the restaurant was truly fantastic, and the reception staff were so lovely and helpful when we missed the bus connection from Setoda Parking – lifesaver. We wished we could have stayed longer. We'll be back! (Oh, and the recommendation of the local sento was terrific, what a place! So good to have a sauna as well.)

すごくよかった
Pros:

部屋の照明や雰囲気などすごく好きだった
ご飯も全部美味しくて気さくなスタッフばかり

Cons:

決して安くはないし、部屋にお風呂がないからこそ、宿泊者だけは温泉せめて半額とかでも良いのかなと思った
