Location was fabulous. Right on the beach and very accessible to downtown restaurants and shops. Beachfront restaurant was tasty. Staff was very friendly. Stephen and Pablo and their surf lessons/rentals were fabulous.l
The beds were very hard but otherwise rooms were excellent.
The stuff , owner , location, the idea

Location. Jungle feeling very green space. Room wonderful.
Nothing.
In the beach and in the “jungle”. Very rustic.
Our door and windows weren’t private. Cool with the bamboo poles but, perhaps, a piece of cloth inside?
Almost everything about our stay was wonderful. The location is fantastic, the staff were very friendly, and the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were clean and serviced daily, which we really appreciated. The food at the beach bar was excellent, and the beach chairs were a great place to relax and enjoy the view.
The beds were unfortunately some of the most uncomfortable we’ve ever slept on. We’ve traveled all over the world and have experienced our fair share of less-than-ideal beds, but this one truly felt like sleeping on plywood. We found ourselves tossing and turning throughout the night and woke up with sore backs and hips—and we’re only in our 30s.
The size of the beds was amazing, and the bedding itself was lovely, which made the experience even more surprising. Adding a mattress topper, some additional padding, or possibly upgrading the mattresses could make a huge difference and greatly improve guests’ comfort.
We come to Sayulita often and would love to stay here again, but we would only be able to do so with a bed upgrade. Everything else about the stay was absolutely amazing.
We had a bungalow, literally right on the beach. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was the perfect medicine for my soul. The staff was extremely friendly as well.
I would just say, be sure to communicate with the staff as they were gonna be leaving shortly after we arrived
The property is “primitive”, low-key and lovely with a nice beach bar.
The neighbor. Recently, a PV “beach club” opened next door and had a DJ playing LOUD music that rocked our bungalow. It’s trying to bring a “Miami Beach” vibe to the laid-back beach bum style that makes Sayulita so wonderful. We complained to the manager and heard that the hotel on the other side also complained so hopefully they work it out amongst themselves. One other noise problem was the annual city carnival directly across the street. They positioned the loudest rides closest to the street and that racket went on until 11pm every night. You might want to avoid carnival time in Sayulita at Junta al Rio
Our room was in the middle of the garden among a lot of plants. That was nice, but also made the room a little dark. The room was nice.
The location is only a couple of blocks from the centre. We also liked the sun beds at the beach, and the bar/restaurant (expensive ). There were a lot of stones on the beach at the hotel, but 150 meters away the beach was fine.
There was only cold water in our shower. When a room costs more than a hundred dollars, I expect to have at least lukewarm water in the shower!
The loud music with a heavy base was quite disturbing, especially from the fair, that kept going untill 11.30 at night.
