Really enjoyable and very welcoming.
Pros:

Excellent value for money. The staff and owner at this accommodation was extremely friendly and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help us and assist us with directions/guidance. The food was excellent, we really enjoyed our evening meal and the breakfast. there were many little touches that made this stay really enjoyable. We only stayed for 1 night, but wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely return here.

Pros:

Although the Red Admiral is not much of a looker from the outside appearances can be deceptive. The room was lovely, clean and functional. It was the landlords excellent breakfast which was a highlight. My husband has rarely had such a good vegan breakfast.

If you require peace and quiet this is a very quiet hotel on the main road but still I traffic noise
Pros:

The owners made us feel so welcome, nothing was to much trouble, I’m a vegetarian & the chef made me something that was not on the menu, the food was unreal nice & big portions as well,

Pros:

The staff were so lovely and friendly, the room was beautifully clean and the grounds lovely and peaceful. The breakfast choices were perfect and food was great too-especially their sausages!

Pros:

Exceptionally helpful staff. They were short staffed when I was there and they really went out of there way to accommodate my needs despite this. Ideal location if your going to site via Calder gate.

The room. Dark needs decorating, bulbs not working, bathroom sink soaks you. Toilet hanging off wall, smelt, heating not working but staff eager and happy to help

Exceptional staff, excellent food.
Pros:

Lovely traditional moors/dales pub with accommodation to the rear. Wood burners in the main bar areas. Plenty of parking. Staff were exceptional - friendly, chatty, and the dogs / cats in the bar (I was asked first if they could come in) really added to the atmosphere. Food was excellent!

Cons:

Rooms were a bit tired.

Friendly staff, lovely room, would return!
Pros:

The property looks lovely! We went in to be greeted by a lovely guy who checked us in.
The room was absolutely stunning, loved the coffee machine and the idea of a hot chocolate which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Also had food here in the evening which we couldn’t fault!
We would definitely stay here again!
10 out of 10 for us!!
